It's quiet and beautifully dark at night so you get to see the stars! The neighbors are quiet and friendly, and being a cul de sac there is virtually no traffic.
  • Rachel was an amazing hostess! She was incredibly friendly and very accommodating. Myself and two friends stayed in her adorable studio apartment, and we all had a great time. She provided us with an extra mattress and bedding and she worked tirelessly to ensure we all had everything we needed. She is very accessible and helped us have a great time in the excellent Incline Village. My friends and I will definitely be planning another trip to stay in this apartment!

  • Our stay in Incline Village with Rachel was amazing! The studio apartment was very clean, and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The shower had amazing water pressure (very important to me). We have made plans to stay again, for a longer period of time, and will definitely utilize the kitchen. It had everything you need. Upon our arrival at night, which is impossible to see any house addresses, Rachel was outside flagging us down. The next morning, we wanted to go on a small hike, nothing strenuous, to have good views of Lake Tahoe. Rachel told us about one that was a very short drive from her house. It was gorgeous! The hike was very easy, and the views were breathtaking. The beach, just down the road from Rachel's, was amazing as well. We spent many hours just relaxing by the lake. Next time, in a warmer time of year, we will definitely take out the kayak. Overall, our stay at Rachel's will not be our last. We cannot say enough of the hospitality she gave us. Thank you for a wonderful stay, Rachel.

  • Great place! Lovely location with a nice view of trees outside the window. Clean and comfy, cable TV and reliable wifi a big plus, and Rachel and Benjamin are very nice and friendly :)

  • The owners are very nice, easy check-in and out. Good communication. The north of the lake is more quiet and natural than the south, so a really good location. The small kitchen is very useful too. Go to Railey's for your groceries, a lot of good stuffs there. Be careful if you are sensitive to animal hair, pets are allowed in the room.

  • Rachel and Benjamin are wonderful people. The space was very clean. From the photos on website we did think the space was on 3rd floor but it was ground floor so that was a bit surprising.

  • Fun little private, yet centrally located accommodation. It felt very "Incline Village", but in a nice residential area.

  • Great little place near Lake Tahoe! Rachel was a great host and did everything she could to make our stay the best possible. She even drew us a map to get to the little out of the way places. Taking a trip to North Shore of Lake Tahoe? Stay at Rachel's!

  • Incredibly hospitable and accommodating hosts! They made my first AirBnB experience very easy and seamless and I could not thank them more!

Enjoy the crisp, quiet fall mornings next to the lake at a substantial savings during off-season. After hosting more than 200 visitors we feel that the people that enjoy and appreciate our place are those whom desire location above full service hotel amenities and luxury accommodations. We consider our condo as a vessel to the splendor of North Lake Tahoe. Take in all of Tahoe's mountain options from our cozy little lakeside studio that is central to all things that make N. Tahoe so special.
Close to the water but also close to Northlake Blvd. Summer traffic and winter snow removal may be heard from the unit (and every unit along Northlake Blvd). We offer a white noise machine, and earplugs and have priced the location accordingly. If you are a light sleeper this should be a consideration. Unfortunately our unit is NOT lakefront. It is on the lakeside only steps to the sand. Take a close look at the pictures on our site to gain an accurate view of the unit. Our condo is a SMALL. The lakeside studio is all about location. The size only accommodates two guests. The "Bear's Den" clubhouse is available if you want to spread out a bit or use the dining table. If your primary reason for visiting the area is outdoor recreation, close proximity to the lake, Tahoe culture, ski resorts and access to the national forest then our studio has everything you need. Tahoe Vista is a quiet lakeside community. It isn't what anybody would describe as a party town. Our studio is #16 which is situated on the lake side of North Tahoe Blvd at the end of single level 4 unit complex. Please note: One wall is adjacent to another unit. The other wall is on the end of the complex on the street side. We are closest to the street so please expect some ambient street noise that varies seasonally. We genuinely value your vacation time and although we feel our little piece of Tahoe is perfect if, after reading about our space, you have any questions please feel free to ask. Our condo is a classic north shore studio on the lake and within the Franciscan Lakeside Lodge community. Perfect for those that want the value of an AIRBNB booking but prefer the privacy, location and convenience of traditional vacation lodging at Lake Tahoe. Our studio is a privately owned condo in a motor lodge style community. The Franciscan is a well known landmark of North Lake. It is very small but comfortable, clean, well maintained and the location on the lake cannot be matched at our price point. We offer substantial value as our unit is central to all the mountain resorts without resort prices. We are closest to the road but not the furthest from the beach. The community is relatively easy going and our studio is perfect for two people wanting to facilitate access to outdoor activities. There are very few luxury and no high-rise hotels on the north shore between Incline Village, NV and Tahoe City making the Franciscan very typical motor lodging for the N. Shore. Serene, vintage, Tahoe. Because this is a studio we don't recommend more than 2 guests regardless of age and offer one parking spot for our guests. The unit has a comfortable queen bed, flat screen TV (with DVD player and cable), dinette table and fully furnished kitchen including microwave, refrigerator, stove top, oven, dishes, silverware, and pots and pans and coffee The condo is professionally cleaned prior to check in but there is no daily maid service. There are extra supplies in the closet near the bathroom. Should you need anything during your stay, please do not hesitate to contact us?
Boat ramps are very close by but subject to closure depending on conditions. The condo has mooring buoys available upon request for an additional fee, subject to availability. This location is perfectly situated in the Tahoe National Forest, but also just minutes from Northstar Ski Resort, Diamond Peak Ski Resort, Alpine Meadows, and Homewood. Safeway supermarket and great restaurants nearby, and under 3 miles to the Nevada border and casinos. Northstar: Closest resort with a great village. Alpine Meadows: Closest big mtn skiing but pricey. Homewood: Best value mtn. Mostly slower lifts but great mtn for the price. Diamond Peak: Just to say you went skiing. Great for kids. Squaw: Squaw is Squaw. North Tahoe is quiet and offers a much slower pace than other areas of the lake. If you are looking for a fast paced getaway you will probably be disappointed with Tahoe North.
  • My husband and I own a vacation rental that was booked so we looked for another place to stay. We were very happy to find this little gem on the northshore close to Northstar where we have senior skiing pases. Their studio apt is very well appointed and carefully decorated. You can tell they put a lot of thought and concern to make the most of the space they had. The location is excellent if you want to be near the lake . Wish we had more time to stay in Tahoe but thanks to these hosts our short stay was great. Their communication was excellent when we ran into a confusing glitch with the tv. The queen bed is very comfortable and the unit is very clean. Would stay here again if the occasion arose.

  • My fiancé and I enjoyed our time in Johnny and Jeanyne's Tahoe Vista studio. It was a cozy, clean unit well equipped with everything we'd need to prepare a nice breakfast before hitting the slopes. The location was perfect - a short drive to Carnelian Bay and Tahoe City and a just a bit further to Squaw and Alpine. Check in and check out was simple and flexible. I would recommend this studio to any couple looking for accommodations in North Lake Tahoe.

  • Such a beautiful little cabin to stay in. Great location and plenty of hiking trails around to set foot on. Kitchenette had everything you need except for a kettle. Easily made a cup of tea though by using the saucepan and stove. J & J very helpful and checked in on us through the app during our stay to see if we needed anything. Will definitely be coming back!

  • Great location, the place had everything I needed!

  • This cottage is amazing! We loved being so close to the lake and exploring north Lake Tahoe. We stayed here for 2 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you Johnny and Jeanyne for hosting us!

  • The location on the lakeside of road was terrific but the sound from road is loud. Bring ear plugs if you are sensitive to noise. If you like to relax and read, go out to the point. It is a billion dollar view. We will be coming back soon. It is great value for budget minded travelers who like to cook their own meals.

  • Great stay. Bed very comfortable which is important when I travel. The kitchen was well supplied for all meals. Just a beautiful area

  • Nice, cozy little studio with everything you need. Location was amazing with great beach access and less than a mile from Safeway. Would absolutely recommend this little gem any time of the year! Thanks for everything, look forward to coming back :)

This is one of a very few large (+/- 900 Square Feet) 1 bedroom suites that is a privately owned hotel/condo unit inside the Grand Sierra Resort located on the 21st floor. In addition to paying AirBNB, you will have to pay an additional $81.50/night directly to the hotel upon arrival. See below under "Other things to note" for detailed explanation of the fee.
The unit features a dining table, pull out couch, a king size bed that is partitioned from the rest of the unit by sliding pocket doors. The unit features 2 big screen televisions, two desks and the bathroom features a garden bathtub and separate shower. This is most comparable to the Summit Studio Suite that the hotel offers at substantially higher rates. The unit does NOT have a kitchen, however it does have a mini-refrigerator, single cup coffee maker and microwave. No dishes or cookware are provided. In addition to paying AirBNB, you will have to pay an additional $81.50/night directly to the hotel upon arrival. See below under "Other things to note" for detailed explanation of the fee.
This unit is located inside the Grand Sierra Resort. The resort features a mall, bowling alley, movie theater, kids fun center, bars, night club, restaurants and live entertainment.
  • Pictures don't do this room justice. Great views, easy check-in, awesome experience.

  • Daughter mother time ! The room was awesome . We enjoyed our stay and will be returning .

  • This is my second time booking this place and Kristopher is alway great to work with. He provides all the appropriate details for checkin as it is located as part of the grand Sierra resort. He very attentive with every question or with any concerns I had. I highly recommend it!

  • Feels like a suite, place was really nice

  • It was a beautiful room! We used it to host a small reception after our wedding. There was plenty of counter space for food and sitting space for people! The bathroom was BEAUTIFUL, our favorite part! The only issue was (by no fault of the hosts) was checking in, we got there around 3:15 and were not able to check in due to the room not yet being ready. It was a little nerve racking because we had to drop off the food and get to our wedding on time! We ended up having to keep the food in the car while we married, the room was ready around 4:05. It was busy due to street vibrations though, so that could have been the issue! The casino also gave us a $50 meal comp due to the room issue. It was a great stay, very quiet, and awesome for what we needed it for!

  • Very nice room...loved it!

  • Kristopher was very responsive with any questions we had. We wish we could have stayed a few more days but had to quickly return home. I would recommend the room to anyone looking for an enjoyable stay in Reno.

  • Fantastic room at a great rate in gsr. Absolutely no complaints.

The Cottage at Quail Haven is a small studio located in Washoe Valley 15 minutes from Reno and Carson City and about 45 minutes from Lake Tahoe. The solar powered property is located right next to a nature preserve in front of the Eastern Sierra. The cottage includes a full bed, bathroom, small kitchen and dining space. It's best for single travelers or couples. We accept pets, but you must let us know ahead of time. Pets must be kept on a leash outside and not left in the cottage alone.
The Cottage at Quail Haven is a tiny studio with bathroom located behind the main house at Quail Haven, a solar powered, rural property in Washoe Valley, Nevada at the foot of the Tahoe Range. The private cottage sits in a quiet neighborhood right next to a wildlife and bird sanctuary. Visitors can walk out the backyard and use the walking and biking paths in the area. The cottage is decorated in a Swedish style with furniture, decor and bedding from IKEA and includes a small kitchen with a sink, refrigerator (no freezer), stove and toaster oven. There is a full bed for two and the full bath includes a toilet, sink, shower, towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap and a hair dryer. There's a small wardrobe with shelves for clothes and shoes and a dining area for two. There is a fan for warmer days and a heater for cold weather, but the cottages does not have air conditioning. The cottage has a back deck that looks out over the valley and the mountains and a small front patio that is perfect for a morning coffee. There's plenty of parking and the property includes a vegetable garden, an events barn, and a trampoline as well as a multitude of trees, cottontail rabbits, birds and, of course, quail. Quail Haven is about 15 minutes from Reno and Carson City, about an hour from Lake Tahoe, about three hours north of Yosemite and four hours east of San Francisco. This is a wonderful area centered in the high Nevada desert with access to the Sierra Nevada range. We accept pets at the cottage, but they should be kept inside the cottage at night. This area has coyotes and bobcats that come out at night. We do let our chickens out during the day.
Washoe Valley is a hidden gem between Reno and Carson City. The valley is quiet and safe and home to many animals like rabbits, wild horses, coyotes, bobcat, quail and other birds like eagles and hawks. There are wide open areas for hiking and biking as well as some beautiful views.
  • I think this place should be renamed The Cottage at the Corner of Quail Haven and Rainbow Central. :-) We had a rainy few days and on Saturday I don't think there was one minute that we didn't have a rainbow or double rainbow to look at. We wanted to do some hiking but the weather wasn't cooperating so we did some hikes near the house and we had a great time. Christina was very welcoming and was very prompt in her replies to any questions. The house was exactly as pictured but I don't think the pictures quite do justice to how nice the yard is and how peaceful the whole property is. The house is small but has everything you would need and more. Seldom does lodging make you think about what you need, but this tiny house really made me think about what I need to bring on a trip and what I could leave behind. If you are a creative person, this would be a great place spend a week or two to get something done. Pro tips: Sleep on the bed with your head towards the foot of the bed and it will be more comfortable. Eat at the Postal Cafe at least once. Save your scraps to feed the chickens. I hope we can get back here and spend a little more time, it is very relaxing and peaceful.

  • Christina was a great hostess and the cottage was better than I had expected. Christina was there in the garden when I arrived and made me feel very welcome. She explained everything to me and let me go and explore the cottage. The cottage is very compact, clean and functional. The bathroom is great and the pullout bed much more comfortable than I expected. Unfortunately my stay turned out to be very short, but I would love to have stayed another day or two to explore the area and take advantage of the peace and quiet of Chrisina's lovely little farm. Christina was full of information about the area which I very much appreciated. A charming place and a charming hostess.

  • We didn't get to meet Christina but her cabin was very welcoming. The room was super clean and cute, and very convenient. The fold-out couch is probably best suited to smaller guests, which was fine for me but a little snug for my 6'2" partner. It's a beautiful spot and I'd certainly stay here again.

  • My second wonderful stay at the tiny cottage! Great communication from the host and a lovely little property with big views. Thanks again, and see you next time!

  • Christina has made this cottage so cozy! We enjoyed everything from seeing the cute quail, to playing bocce ball, to jumping on the trampoline, to star gazing, to watching the gorgeous sunsets, to getting engaged!!! The cottage is nestled in the most beautiful area and we were endlessly blown away by the beauty and quaintness of it all. I highly recommend anyone stay here - you are guaranteed a most wonderful, unforgettable stay :) Thank you, Christina!!

  • Great place if you are looking for peace and quiet. Great view as well. Christina was very nice and left me alone like I requested. Really enjoyed it!

  • Beautiful location with super nice walking trail in backyard and lots of pretty wildlife. Christina is very nice, helpful and kind. Just wish we could have stayed longer!

  • i don't know why some people have left comments about this place being tiny.. we were 2 adults and a large dog and felt very comfortable during our stay - like we all had plenty of space to relax and do our thing.. the pictures don't do this place justice.. quail haven is such a peaceful and appealing place to be.. the only times we left the property were to trek on the trails right outside the gates and to stock up at the whole foods 17 mins away.. christina was so warm, welcoming, friendly and helpful - an excellent hostess.. hope to see you again soon.. thanks for everything we stay at airbnbs about 2 wknds per month for fun and this one was by far the best value so far

I find the place worth living, there was nothing that is not mentioned in the listing. I had nice discussion with the host, he is very caring and friendly.

Never met our hosts but we messaged several times; always timely, accurate, and polite. Good location; we drove to downtown Reno in about 5 minutes. Had easy access to the townhouse with a keypad and the room/bath was private, quiet and comfortable.

I had a pleasant but short one night stay with with Holly. The room and house are charming, just as the title suggests. Holly is a wonderful artist who has decorated her home with her work. I was provided with space in the fridge and freezer as requested because I had a lot of food to store on my way to Burning Man. Holly also made it easy for me to arrive even though she couldn't be there when I got into town. I got a good night's sleep here before heading out into the desert. Thanks!
