Widemouth Bay is a fabulous location to learn to surf, it has consistent waves that are perfect for beginners but also great for perfecting your manoeuvres. Widemouth Bay is close to Bude but just far enough away to escape the crowds. It is a long open, sandy beach that has plenty of space for everyone and is a blue flag winner for water quality and facilities.

Lovely sandy beach - great for topping up your tan, plenty of free parking up and down the coast line.

A bit further afield as a 90 minute drive but a lovely surf beach none the less to visit. Stop off in the historic town of Launceston on route which has a very old castle.
