Walking the three miles to Golant involves taking the Bodinnick Ferry and turning right out of Fowey onto the Saints Way. It is a beautiful woodland walk with views of the river. Follow the ‘Saints Way’ signs The Fisherman’s Arms in Golant sells a range of beers, ciders and lovely food for hungry walkers and kayakers!! It is an ideal place to sit and relax away a few hours peacefully watching the ebb and flow of the river.

It's a great pub with real ales, ciders, good wine selection. Lots of sneaky corners and different aspects. Great food amazing value and we have vouchers so that our guests get 20% off their meal. It is just off the heart of the Barbican so a nice pub close to the main hub. You will usually need to book as they are very popular.

Great little pub on the River Fowey in Golant. Watch the tides change, the boats bob about and the occasional China Clay train heading along the single track branch line between Lostwithiel to Fowey, whilst enjoying real ale and a bite to eat. Lovely walks are achievable to Fowey and surrounding area along the river and through the woods. a walk along the river bank to the slipway is recommended. Kayaks and watercraft can be hired in Golant and if you have your own craft then launching is also possible from here. Parking can be tight so arrive early and check tides in advance.
