AWD isn't needed (our Nissan Altima does great) It can be intimidating at first, but you will conquer and in no time enjoy the challenge! The cabin is in a mountain community called Ocona Lake Estates. Located 5 miles from Bryson City and 5 miles from Cherokee NC/ Oconaluftee Visitor. Catoloochee Ski resort is 18 miles.

High Calling is the lower level of a home on Cataloochee Mountain, at 4300’ elevation. Enjoy the panoramic views year round from a private covered porch or around the fire pit as you relax with the peaceful sound of the creek below. A charcoal grill is also provided. Two bedrooms, one with a queen size bed, the other with one full bed and one twin bed face mountain views. Attention: we are open and the Indian reservation is open I40 and 26 is open to travels. the great smoky mountain hwy 441 into Tennessee is open. Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space. Refresh, recharge, and reconnect with those you love. There is no internet access but time to spend with family. Light you a fire in the outdoor fire pit and look at the stars. If you love running water, there is a small branch of water beside the house. Plenty of outdoor space
