My wife and I had an excellent 4-day stay at the Sunset Suite. We initially picked it, because amongst all the airbnbs in the area, it seemed like the most spacious/clean room for the price. It surpassed our expectations. Alicia was an incredible host - she was welcoming, friendly, and made us feel right at home from the beginning. The location is perfect, it's in a quiet, peaceful community by the lake, a short drive away from the city (~25 minutes), and there's plenty of restaurants/shops also within a 5-10 minute drive.

Our itinerary was:
Day 1, we took a short drive to San Diego to watch the 4th of July fireworks
Day 2, we drove across the border (15 minutes away) to Mexico and visited Rosarito.
Day 3, we visited Coronado Beach during the day and watched a movie at the nearby theater.
Day 4, we were planning on walking around the lake and setting up the hammock around some trees there, but we had to drive home early unfortunately!

We felt like we just had a small taste of what the area has to offer. Alicia's place is an incredible value, and we hope to come back soon. It definitely has our recommendation :).
