Going strong for 150 years, this taverna was formerly patronised by the Durrells and Anthony Quinn. The sign outside is in Greek, so just follow your nose to the traditional grill for souvlaki, pork chops and swordfish. Like Taverna Ninos, dishes are roasted in advance and you can order cafeteria-style - don’t let that tradition put you off, these places often have the oldest chefs, someone’s yaya (Greek for Granma) cooking away in the old style. Warm service and tables outside make this an excellent spot for people-watching.
