East Head is a moving spit of sand at the end of West Wittering beach with stunning views of The Isle of Wight & the harbours of Chichester. It is my favourite walk with our Cavapoo Bentley. The walk all the way round the spit takes about 45 minutes. It is an absolute must during your stay. You will still have to book the car park but it is worth it. Postcode PO20 8AJ

This spit is looked after by the National Trust and is a wonderful walk, summer or winter. Don't miss this. If you have cabin-fever, it's a proven cure.

Stunning walks in sand dunes. Great for picnics and BBQs, Excellent swimming, but mind the tide on the penninsula, especially with small children. Dogs are allowed. Pre-book your parking.

Walking around East Head is one of our favourite things to do with the children. Stunning views of the Isle of Wight and the estuary in the harbour mouth. Great for dog walks too.
