This church is located in the Getsemaní neighborhood, in the square that bears the same name. Its construction was around 1600, with the argument of the need for a church that was closer to the gemanicences, that by living outside the walled city, were far from the Cathedral and the blessings of the Catholic church. Inspired by the Cathedral, it is the second oldest temple in Cartagena and is dedicated to the Holy Trinity, therefore, it is architecturally similar. Its simple exterior hides its fascinating interior columns and ornamentation with Mudejar coffered ceilings in the presbytery. Without a doubt, another one of the temples that you should know when visiting Cartagena.
