Great scenic drive to Estes Park. Go up Golden Gate Canyon to intersect the highway and head North for views.

Head up to Nederland and drive the scenic byway from Ned to Estes Park. If you don't want to drive the entire way, you can cut down through Jamestown or Ward.

This is one of the first scenic drives I did after moving to Denver and I've now made it a Thanksgiving tradition. It is absolutely stunning! End your trip with a coffee or a treat in Estes Park and enjoy the sweet mountain air. Make sure to stop at Saint Catherine's Chapel on the Rock! But if you forget, I'll add that as another point in this guidebook.

This is a 55mi route with spectacular views! It starts in Central City and continues all the way to Estes Park along Colorado Highways 72 & 7. It is loaded with aspen trees and it the fall is gorgeous. There are also hiking trails along this route that are great for first timers as well as the avid hiker. You can get here from out place by going through Lyons and getting on Highway 7 going towards Allenspark. Watch for Highway 72 and that will take you all the way to Central City if you so desire!
