Maybe this one is stating the obvious. It’s worth the drive up the road in summer too for stunning views across the whole of the Canterbury Plains

Awesome ski field - give it a go. Great for beginners through to experienced skiers or boarders. There are also great mountain bike tracks if you bring your bike.

Only in winter, obviously. Mt Hutt is an hour and a half away by car. It;s the biggest ski area in the region.
