Seattle Public Theater is a wonderful tiny community theater that features interesting plays by adults and youth. They do a variety of plays written by both well known and local up and coming playwrights. Very inexpensive tickets. Good local theater up close.

Seattle Public Theater occupies a former bathhouse on the shores of Green Lake. Give yourself 30 minutes before the show and you can easily walk there, but you can also find parking unless it's a crazy-beautiful summer evening. There is a regular MainStage season, but families may especially want to check out one of the youth program performances, which are by donation only. They're great!
