When I crave fresh air in Paris, this park is the first place I go. It’s giant, but my favorite spot to visit is Parc de Bagatelle, especially in June, when the rose garden with 1,000 different varieties is in bloom. The Bois de Boulogne used to serve as a hunting ground for the French kings. Today it’s where Parisians go to escape the city. It’s nice to sit by Lac Inférieur, just across from the boat rental, where the pine trees give off an invigorating aroma year-round.

A beautiful and safe park to stroll in (lots of runners, too). You can rent rowboats to float around the ponds, or take a tiny ferry across the a little island with a nice restaurant.
