The little Gilbert Downtown area called Heritage District is so cool! Free parking! There is a Farmers Market every Saturday morning and it is adorable. Live music, lots of produce, local items being sold, baked goods, jams, etc. along with food trucks so you can eat and walk around. We got some handmade lotion that smelled amazing and we rave about the breakfast burritos. The acai bowls are delicious too.

Downtown Gilbert, or the Heritage District, is the place to be for Sunday morning brunch and all-day activities. There is also a bar scene for nightlife, at a much lower scale than Scottsdale if that is preferred.

The Gilbert Heritage district is a mixture of old downtown Gilbert, complete with the Gilbert Water tower that was built in 1924 and the recent boom that has brought hip and new restaurants and bars to the area. Everything from the loud live music and country dancing at Dirk's Bentley's Whiskey Row to the low key atmosphere found at the White Rabbit; Gilberts first and only speak easy which is hidden below the Heritage Court building on the south end of the district.
