The Grouse at Longshaw is 1.5 miles back along the road to Sheffield. Good food and lots of it and a roaring fire (hopefully not in August).

You can walk to The Grouse from us, around 1 1/2 walk, along the edge. Good pub food, then a nice walk back. Dogs allowed.

Don't judge this pub by its cover photo! :) Really cosy country pub, stunning scenery, fabulous, home-cooked food (much better than average pub). Roaring fire. 25 minute walk across the moor.
