Come and join us for a relaxing steam ride trip . Its a perfect way to spend a lazy afternoon during the busy holiday period. The trip runs between Gisborne and Muriwai and all but one of our carriages are fully air conditioned for your cool comfort. Remember the trip encompasses some unique features such as crossing the main Gisborne airport runway (the only train ride in the Southern Hemisphere to do so) and across the Waipaoa river bridge. Also the excursion gives you a unique showcase of the stunning seascape of Poverty Bay with Young Nick's Head in the background as well as our world famous fertile agriculture landscape.

Take a ride in the Vintage Steam Train. Remember the smell?? Takes me right back to my childhood.

It is an amazing steam train. Unfortunately, there is nothing where the trip ends. So we usually make a little picnic. (They give you something like 20 min.) I love historical trains.
