Home to six National Wildlife Refuges: Klamath Marsh, Upper Klamath, Bear Valley, Clear Lake, Lower Klamath, and Tule Lake. The Refuges preserve important habitat for a host of waterbirds and are especially important to spring migrating waterfowl. Popular for kayaking, canoeing and bird watching.

You can do bird watching. In the winter you will be able to see hundreds of bald eagles in this area. Bring your binoculars!

Heaven for birders! See waterfowl and colonial nesting birds, including American white pelican and several heron species. Bald eagle and osprey nest nearby and can sometimes be seen fishing in refuge waters. This 15,000 acre refuge has it all!
