Nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts should definitely make the short trip to Lake Mavrobara, the only lake on the Kassandra peninsula, just three (3) kilometres from Polychrono towards the mountain. Here, the wetlands are home to two rare water turtle species (Emys orbicularis and Mauremys caspica). You can also take part in one of the jeep safaris, that we arrange upon request offering a complete tour of the region.

Get ready to enjoy a beautiful hike in the forest of Polichrono. Great views walking to the turtle lake and great views walking back home. It is apparently 70 min hike. Recommend to be organized with water a few sandwiches and some extra bread to feed the turtles.

Στο Πολύχρονο!! Περίπου 15 χλμ απόσταση. Αξίζει η περιήγηση, και μετά βόλτα στη παραλία του χωριού!!
