The local idyllic station. This will take you either direction - towards the City to (Finders Station) or you can go down to the beach (Sandringham). Going in the beach direction, you can also hop off at local stations like Gardenvale, Elsternwick, East Brighton if you want to see another local area to wander. Ripponlea train station is about a 7 minute walk up Glen Eira Road and the train will take you straight into Melbourne's city (Flinders Street Station) in under 15 minutes. Fantastic for business travellers who are looking for a location close to the city but in a cool urban suburb. You can also jump on a tram and enjoy a ride on one of Melbourne's icons...it will also take you direct to the city but will take about 35 minutes.
