Walk up past the waterfalls on to the lake. You can also continue on to the old disused mine. Brave souls wild swim in this lake too. Some of the land you will pass through still belongs to my family.

Cwmorthin Lake is a local treasure and perfect for a short walk from the front door. In its boom Cwmorthin was a valley that housed up to 200 families and workers. The now abandoned settlements echo of a Slate industry that no longer exists here.
