This neighborhood is a little drive but still within Long Beach just on the far southeast side. All the restaurants on the 2nd Street stretch are delicious. Our favorite is George's Greek Cafe and Open Sesame. Sometimes we just go there for a nice evening stroll.

If historical sight-seeing is more of your thing, take a walk or bring your fishing rod over to the Belmont Veterans Memorial Pier. Whatever option you chose, you are going to enjoy this beach.

The beach itself is very wide and accommodating for all types of under-the-sun activity. One of the most popular activities at the beach is traveling the entirety of the beach on the Shoreline Pedestrian Bike Path. This weaving concrete trail features separate lanes for pedestrians and non-motorized commuters.
