Located on the Italian-Swiss border, the city of Como overlooks the southwest end of its lake and is surrounded by green ridge hills. Once can easily spend a whole day having walks around to discover Como city. Bellows are the few suggested walks: 1. A walk through the city center and historical squares (inside the medieval wall) such as Piazza del Duomo, Piazza San Fedele, Porto Torre 2. A walk along the lakeshore ( very photogenic) from Viale Geno passing through Volta Museum & War memorial to villa Olmo 3. A quick cable car ride to BRUNATE walk to the lighthouse

Como is about a 1-hour train from Milano. Unmissable is the center with the Duomo, full of historical atmosphere combined with numerous shops, restaurants and points of interest. A pedestrian promenade runs along the entire lakefront of the city from the famous Villa Olmo (which often hosts valuable temporary exhibitions) to the fountain of Villa Geno. If you are lucky, you can meet also George Clooney, who has a beautiful Villa in front of Como Lake!!!

Como is located at the southern end of the western branch of Lake Como, on the border with Switzerland, protected by a natural basin of rare beauty. The historic city, still with the installation of a Roman castrum, is enclosed by medieval walls with towers of revenge (Porta Torre, Torre Gattoni, San Vitale) with the great Cathedral in the center. Sant'Abbondio e and San Fedele are the most important churches.
