De Reyghere bookshop is Flanders' oldest bookshop and was founded by Julie Laridon and her husband Edmond De Reyghere in 1888. Today it is run by her great granddaughter Yvonne Steinberger. In 2000 the bookshop was elected best literary bookshop of Flanders and in 2005 it was taken into the list of most unique bookshops in the world by the International Booksellers Federation
