Voltaire y a vécu très vieux. Le parc reste ouvert pendant que le chateau se refait une beauté jusqu'en 2018...

Classé monument historique depuis 1958, il a été pendant près de vingt ans la résidence de Voltaire qui l'a acheté en 1758 et l'a transformé ainsi que le domaine qui l'accompagnait.
