There is an abundance of great walks from your doorstep, excellent cycling routes and you will be spoilt for choice with fantastic cafes, pubs and restaurants.

Stationmaster's Cottage

A detached Victorian stone cottage in the shadow of Pickering Castle and overlooking North York Moors Railway station, this characterful property with real fire is only 3 minutes walk away from town centre amenities, the castle and a ten minute walk to the start of the Tabular Hills way and gateway to the North York Moors National Park. Free parking is provided in the Platform 3 Car Park diagonally opposite the property 70 yards away (dashboard pass provided). Please note: steep stepped access.

Sandside Retreat

Sandside Retreat is situated in the heart of Whitby’s Old Town, at the foot of the iconic 199 steps leading to the Abbey. ; whilst tucked away for peace and quiet. Just a stone’s throw away from Tate Hill Sands, harbour, shops, restaurants and bars. Sleeping up to 3 guests, it features a cosy living room with separate kitchen/diner. There is a private patio which overlooks the sea towards the East Pier. Unlike many cottages to the East Side, there are no steps leading up to the cottage.

The home of painter/ illustrator, Albert Wainwright in the 1930s, Bramley Cottage was built in the 1700's. Located in 'Old Bay' (Robin Hood's Bay). Relax and unwind in the newly refurbished one bed Irishman's Cottage. The cottage retains many old features and is surrounded by the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Wolds. The living space is open plan with ample space for a couples retreat or family break away. In the summer months dine al fresco and enjoy a BBQ on the private patio besides the wood burning hot tub. A short walk away is our private lake, where you might catch site of a resting deer or hare!

Hawthorn Cottage is a tastefully decorated cottage on a working farm in the small village of High Hawsker, mid-way between the quaint and beautiful Robin Hood's Bay and the bustling fishing town of Whitby with its historic abbey. This is the perfect spot for exploring the natural and stunning beauty of the North York Moors and the Yorkshire coastline, with the Cleveland Way coastal path and Whitby to Scarborough cycle path (Cinder Track) passing close by.
