The Woodland Garden, has a fantastic selection of mature Rhododendrons and azaleas extends to 1.5 acres, a fire pit with seating for 8-10, Two Decked areas, woodland pathway to access Allerthorpe Common. York is 20 min by car. Country Houses , Sledmere, Castle Howard and Burton Agnes are all within a 30 minute drive. Family/ friends, Male or Female groups welcome. A max of 2 dogs which are chargable.

Set in a pretty village 7 miles form the City of York. close proximity to University of York, the North Yorkshire Moors, coast and Wolds within easy driving distance. Short distance to Air Museum and Elvington Airfield (parking for York University open days). Elvington has a shop, pub and gastro pub in neighbouring village. PLEASE NOTE long, dark, uneven path to access cottage, not suitable for elderly/mobility issues.

Ideal for cyclists, bird watchers, walkers and anyone who wishes to enjoy a rural location close to the attractions of the city of York. There is no regular public transport.
