This pod is 6m x 3m and has a compact kitchen, table and chairs for cosy dining, an ensuite bathroom with a double shower, constant supply of hot running water and a mains lavatory, electric radiators, little electric stove and a heated blanket:) In the spirit of "getting away from it all " the pod does not have a TV but I do provide a radio, books and games Please note: that WiFi is available on the front porch of the pod and the surrounding areas, the signal doesn't seem to permeate the 2 layers of solid wood, layer of foil or the wool insulation. If you require full WIFI signal and SKY Catchup TV, see my other listing "King bed with Ensuite and full english breakfast" in the main Lodge. Sleeps 2 adults in a double bed, and there's enough room for another person or child on a zed bed or airbed or cot bed, this fits in at the foot of the double bed. The pod is made of larch wood, and insulated with a good layer or wool, there's also a layer of foil to keep you Cosy and warm, or cool if soaring summer temperatures need to be kept in check... But this is Yorkshire so we live in hope:)) there's a double glazed bespoke circular door and a window to the side overlooking woodland, this provides you with good natural lighting and air circulation. You will find plenty of coat hooks for walking jackets, a single wardrobe with drawers and a hairdryer. There's head height of 2.5m which gives a feeling of space, unlike the great outdoor tents. The pod is self catering, a local supermarket is just a short walk. Although, in the fridge and on the shelves you will find enough milk to make a warm drink or two, orange juice, bread/crumpets, homemade jam and marmalade, butter and a good selection of coffee, tea, biscuits and chocolates to help you relax! These are complimentary just enjoy :) There are plenty of books and a radio in the pod. The pod has a stone patio area with a table and chairs for you to have breakfast or a late night star gazing experience... Guests are asked politely not to smoke, or light candles, the structure is made entirely of wood , therefore for safety reasons naked flames are not allowed under any circumstances . For ambiance I can provide you with some LED flickering tea lights. Guests are free light candles safely on the patio or garden.
The immediate area is extremely quiet and peaceful, my home is adjacent to a woodland, and a very pretty open (not spooky) cemetery with two beautiful Gothic chapels, one faces North and one South, neither of which are used for any ecclesiastical purposes, but have been converted into office space. The cemetery is used regularly throughout the day and into the evening by dog walkers, and walkers wanting to take a leisurely stroll along the river, or cross the bridge to Middleton Woods (known by locals as Bluebell Woods). From the bedroom window squirrels can be seen scurrying up and down nearby trees, rabbits can be watched playing at dawn and dusk and there's also an owl that can sometimes be heard hooting at night. The pod is in my garden with lawns patios, flowerbeds, trees and the sleeping area overlooks the adjacent woodland. My home is near a Yorkshire Water plant, only water is filtered here to produce drinkable clean water, and any odorous waste is removed and treated at a plant 12 miles away. The wind predominantly blows south to easterly along the river Wharfe, which is in the opposite direction of my home and downstream towards Burley in Wharfedale. Ashlands Road is also the home of the award winning micro brewery "Ilkley Brewery" a bottle of Mary Jane is highly recommended! Although the Pod is self catering, I have left you a supply of tea, coffee, biscuits and chocolates, homemade Jam and Cardamom Marmalade, crumpets, fresh milk in the fridge, enough to start your break. The local independent supermarket is just a 5 minute walk away.

A great house in a great space! The cottage is deep-cleaned with anti-viral cleaner after every stay and offers fabulous, stress-free opportunity for getting out and walking in good clean air in beautiful countryside. Spacious, three-bedroom cottage set in beautiful Nidderdale countryside, very close to Harrogate, York and Leeds. Set on a working smallholding, with pigs, hens, guinea fowl and peafowl. Ideal for families, and for local trips and days out in York, Harrogate and the Dales.
What makes Carr Farm Cottage is the utter serenity and beauty of location, and the fact that it is on a 10-acre working smallholding. You can mingle with pigs, chickens, guinea fowl, peafowl, dogs and cats. But at the same time we are so convenient for Harrogate, Leeds and York
Nidderdale is the forgotten dale--just as beautiful as the rest of the Yorkshire Dales, but classified as as the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (NAONB). Harrogate is very close by for shopping, a fabulous range of restaurants and cafes (including Betty's), Harlow Carr RHS and loads of other facilities. But then there is also Pateley Bridge up the dale, which is a gem of a small Dales Market town, Brimham Rocks, Fountains Abbey (a World Heritage site), Stump Cross Caverns and much more. All this within a radius of 10 miles! York and Leeds are less than an hour's drive (or train from Harrogate) away, and are great shopping centres. York is a hugely impressive place to visit with lots of history and culture. York Minster is a must-see and there are some wonderful museums and it is just a wonderful place to wander around, with tiny medieval streets and Roman city walls still intact in many places.

The End Place is a self-contained cottage adjoining Moorhouse Cottage B&B. Downstairs is open plan, comprising a fully equipped kitchen and a living area with wood burning stove. A glass wall ensures uninterrupted views across Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, as well as starry-night skyscapes. Upstairs opens out into a magical, fairy-lit, vaulted bedroom with a king size brass bed adorned with crisp White Company linen and includes en suite with shower.
The End Place is part of a collection of buildings that were added to an 18th century worker's cottage over the course of a little more than a hundred years and now comprise Moorhouse Cottage. The recent conversion for use as accommodation has retained or re-used original features wherever possible, while ensuring modern standards of comfort. Surrounded by rugged moor and hill-farm land, it's an ideal place to get away from it all, while still having excellent access to local attractions such as Fountains Abbey, The Yorkshire Dales National Park and Brimham Rocks, which marks the far horizon when looking out from the front of the house.
Just down the hill is Pateley Bridge (Great British High Street Awards, village winner - 2016), where you can stock up on award winning homemade pies, bread and cake, or wet your whistle in one of the local pubs. Or, if you prefer, a short walk directly from our door along the Bewerley Industrial Heritage Trail brings you to Coldstones Cut, where you can explore Yorkshire’s highest public sculpture, created by Andrew Sabin, overlooking a working Quarry and with spectacular views over Nidderdale and the landscape beyond. Finish your walk by tasting the delights on offer at Toft Gate Barn Cafe, with delicious homemade dishes and a warm Yorkshire welcome from Caroline and Chris. Or simply relax and enjoy the antics of the alpacas and other animals on this unique and quirky small holding. Within 30 minutes you could be enjoying the delights of the spar town of Harrogate, the cathedral town of Ripon, or Ilkley with its own literary and film festivals. Fountain’s Abbey (a World Heritage Site), Brimham Rocks and Stump Cross Caverns are also a must. Or simply get on your bike (this is the land of the Tour de Yorkshire) or put on your walking boots and explore the outstanding beauty of the Dales.

Tiplady is a small farm with great views and a place where everything is just a little quirky. The Highland Hideaway is a traditional shepherd's hut set by a stream in a small wooded valley. The hut is cosy with a wood burning stove and has a small sitting out area . The toilets and showers are adjacent to the hut and there is a handy fridge, in a telephone box, just outside. Located close to the Nidderdale Way, Tiplady Farm is perfect for walkers and cyclists or simply somewhere to escape to
Most of our guests agree that Tiplady is different, most important of course is a warm welcome and friendly owners willing to help out with local knowledge of places to visit and where to eat. On top of that we love unusual stuff such as our sheep's head carved from an old tree stump, vintage signs and and old Shell petrol pump to light your way. Usually there are a few old cars, lorries or motorbikes around the place and if you like rare breeds, we have Highland cattle and Herdwick sheep (both Viking breeds). You are also welcome to meet with our working horses if time permits. To help you enjoy your break, you have a choice of places to prepare food on site, there's a barbecue area by the Victorian waterwheel, a hilltop shelter with stunning views and a fire pit or there are plenty of amazing places to eat locally. We provide basic firewood for the hut and for a small charge a BBQ, camping gas stove or a fuel efficient rocket stove to cook on. In winter months it is advisable to bring wellies and a torch. Being remote, Tiplady is a pretty safe place but if you'd like, we can lock your bikes, canoes or pretty much anything else up in one of our barns.
We are in the heart of Nidderdale so plenty of walking and cycling routes. Close by you have Brimham rocks and Fountains Abbey both of which are National trust sites. Within driving distance you have Ripon, Harrogate, York, Skipton and Grassington. Pateley Bridge is only a mile away and has a variety of shops meaning you can pick up all the supplies you need. Why not have a visit to the Oldest Sweet shop whilst you are here.

Our attractive one bed cottage has an outdoor sunken patio kitchen area with charcoal BBQ and a raised decking area. A cosy home from home, with a touch of luxury! Set at the bottom of our garden, but totally self contained with parking for one vehicle. Kirkby Malzeard is a small traditional village set in the Nidderdale AONB. Perfectly placed to be your 'Gateway to the Dales', whilst also conveniently located for visits to Harrogate and York, it's your town & country location rolled into one!
A 'key safe' is located on the outside wall near the Kitchen stable door, for your convenience. There is a secure 'Boot Box', for those dirty items, outside near the wooden garden gate pathway. Our cottage has been recently completely refurbished to a very high standard. It has underfloor heating with Limestone Tiles adorning the Kitchen and Wet-room/Toilet floors and walls. The fully fitted Kitchen is complete with Dishwasher, Washer/tumble-dryer, Fridge-freezer, Ceramic Hob, Microwave, Warming Drawer and a 'hide and slide' Neff Oven', not to forget the necessary Toaster and Kettle! Mood lighting has been installed around the cottage, including a designer pendant light in the Kitchen/Diner creating a cosy atmosphere for dining at the glass topped table. Carpeted stairs lead directly from the Kitchen to the 'loft-style' Bedroom, where we have installed a King Size Bed, a Dressing Table with ample drawers and a Wardrobe hanging space. All of our Bedding is of a high quality, and luxury Robes and Towels are provided during your stay. A Hairdryer and portable Electric Fan, with a wall-mounted TV are also there for your use. (Please note: there is no closing door or child safety-gate fitted to the top or bottom of the stairway which could be a safety issue for young infants on the move!) The cosy carpeted Lounge has a Wood-Burning Stove, but the cottage also has Radiators fitted in every room and heated Towel Rails in both Wet-room and Toilet. Free WiFi is included for the duration of your stay. Please be aware that mobile reception can be intermittent depending on your network. The Lounge has a TV and Sound Bar with a selection of CD's and DVD's and a range of books and games to entertain you! The Lounge Patio Door gives access to the outdoor sunken garden area with BBQ.. The sunken garden also houses an outdoor wood-fired Pizza Oven for your use during summer months. This needs a certain amount of experience to manage - under our direct supervision - which we are happy to provide when we are available and can then pass on our skills! Therefore it's use is by advance arrangement only. For enjoying those summer days there are high topped tables and chairs outside. In addition, folding Garden Chairs are also available for your use and are stored in the Kitchen. We have installed fixed Chains and Locks for your Bike security and waterproof Bike Covers are also provided. Finally, there is a Welcome Folder giving full details of all the cottage facilities and local amenities and also a Visitors Book for all your comments.
Kirkby Malzeard is located on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales with its wonderful and incredibly varied countryside, from the windswept Dallowgill moorland covered in purple heather to the sprawling reservoir valleys of Pateley Bridge; from the stepping stones at Bolton Abbey to the lovely wooded valley from where Yorkshire's own 'Dick Whittington' traveled to become Lord Mayor of London. For those who want excitement and retail therapy a short car ride takes you to Lightwater Valley with the longest roller-coaster in the UK, the Market town of Skipton where you can browse the open-air market, visit the castle and hire a narrowboat to cruise the Aire Valley or Harrogate, an elegant famous Spa Town with it's lovely Valley Gardens and array of high class restaurants and bars, including the famous Betty's Tearooms. York is not too far and has an array of visitor attractions covering Viking, Roman and Medieval history. However you look at it, Thump Cottage is an ideal starting off point to provide you with everything you would want on a holiday.

The Artist's Retreat is a true get away - if you want peace, quiet & stunning views this is the place for you. It sits in beautiful Nidderdale, right on the Nidderdale Way and the Way of the Roses, with Brimham Rocks within sight and a 15m walk away. Ideal as a walking/cycling base, or just for a quiet stay away from it all. Each window offers eye catching views, whilst inside is cosy with a wood burning stove in the sitting room, and the bedroom tucked into the upper body of the cottage.
A cosy converted barn, with its inevitable quirks and charms. Downstairs is a cosy sitting room with wood burning stove and views of the gardens. Alongside is an open plan kitchen which leads on to a shower room. Up the steep stairs is the bedroom with twin beds and more views across the garden and countryside - all with the quiet murmur of the stream in the background . The cottage is furnished but uncluttered, and comes with all bedding and towels as well as a supply of logs for the wood burner. The garden is yours to enjoy though we may be in there looking after it from time to time! Parking for 1 car and there is a lockable shed for bikes.

Sypialnia była ogromna, a łóżko wygodne. Łazienka i prysznic były doskonałe. Parking na zewnątrz. Bardzo blisko Dolin i niezbyt daleko od Maurów. Wszystko było idealne, a Jen szybko odpowiedziała na moje teksty. Chciałbym gorąco polecić to mieszkanie.

As a previous super host, on behalf of numerous clients with many properties, I have decided to start the journey with my own property. This bright and stylish apartment is the perfect base to explore the area or to simply relax and unwind. Located within the High Royds development, with a secure entrance, this beautiful and quintessential development provides a relaxing and luxurious experience.
The contemporary living space has everything you need to make you feel at home – WiFi, Netflix, washer and dryer, king size bed and a well equipped kitchen and tableware.

Sleeps 2 adults in a double bed, there is room for a cot in the bedroom area, this area essentially sleeps 2 adults and an infant. A cot can be provided if required. The kitchen has a sofa bed that sleeps an adult or two small children as the mattress is just larger than a single bed. The kitchen cannot be used when the sofa bed is extended. The apartment is private and secure and was formerly part of my family home.
The neighbourhood The immediate area is extremely quiet and peaceful, my home is adjacent to a woodland, and a very pretty open (not spooky) cemetery with two beautiful Gothic chapels, one faces North and one South, neither of which are used for any ecclesiastical purposes, but have been converted into trendy office space. The cemetery is used regularly throughout the day and into the evening by walkers, and is a short cut to the river Wharfe. Take a romantic leisurely stroll along the river, or cross the bridge to Middleton Woods (known by locals as Bluebell Woods). From the bedroom window squirrels can be seen scurrying up and down nearby trees, rabbits can be watched playing at dawn and dusk and there's also a pair of owls that can sometimes be heard hooting at night. The main house is adjacent to the apartment, and its known as the Old Lodge, I love my home, and find the peace and tranquility of the location brings me and my visitors great joy. The wind predominantly blows south to easterly along the river Wharfe, which is in the opposite direction of my home and downstream towards Burley in Wharfedale. There is a Yorkshire Water plant close by, although only the top water is processed here and filtered several times to produce drinkable clean water, any odorous waste is removed and treated at a plant more than 12 miles. My home is also close to the home of the award winning microbrewery "Ilkley Brewery" a bottle of their very own Mary Jane is highly recommended!

Tiplady is a small farm with great views and a place where everything is just a little quirky. The Herdie Hut is a traditional shepherd's hut set by a stream in a small wooded valley. The hut is cosy with a wood burning stove and has a small sitting out area . The toilets and showers are adjacent to the hut and there is a handy fridge, in a telephone box, just outside. Located close to the Nidderdale Way, Tiplady Farm is perfect for walkers and cyclists or simply somewhere to escape to.

Located on the cusp of iconic UNESCO World Heritage Site Fountains Abbey and a short walk away from the historic cathedral City of Ripon, our 150 year-old cosy, characterful cottage is an ideal base to explore these unique surroundings. Our cute, quiet village is also a short drive away from the pretty market towns of Masham, Bedale and Pateley Bridge and the spa town of Harrogate. We'd love to make this an idyllic and relaxing escape for you. We hope to see you soon at Bumblebee Cottage!
Our cottage is split into two areas: the original 1800s cottage and the contemporary living space. You'll be staying in the main cottage, which includes a master bedroom for two (with a view!), and a large bathroom . The cosy lounge is also part of the old cottage, which you are welcome to use to unwind in front of the log fire with a glass of Yorkshire wine! And of course (weather permitting!) please do make use of our lovely garden. We also share our space with an adorable cockapoo called Gracie. She can be as out of your way as you prefer. Visiting dogs are very welcome.
You really can't stay any closer to Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Gardens & Deer Park. We're right on the doorstep! (Our cottage used to be where they'd keep the horses for the estate!) Ripon City is a 25 minute walk away, or a short drive. It's got an excellent Thursday market, various museums and of course the stunning Cathedral. It also has a great range of places to eat and some lovely traditional Yorkshire pubs. Our little village of Studley Roger is very small and quiet. There's no shops or pubs but our closest cafe is on the lake in the Deer Park, for a quick butty, coffee and cake.
