Dungog, Nowa Południowa Walia, Australia

Welcome to Monkerai! We live on a medium sized farm which occupies its very own little valley, completely surrounded by hills which border the property. Come and stay in our cute little one bedroom cottage for a relaxing farmstay. On our farm we have a little over 100 cattle, and are in the process of establishing a permaculture garden and orchards. There are several kilometres worth of hiking to be done within our property, plus easy access to the lower Barrington Tops and the Monkerai Valley.
The cottage is self-contained with a bathroom and a kitchen. We have done the renovations ourselves, so we like to think there are plenty of nice touches which align with the rest of the property. Not exactly fancy, but definitely practical and cosy.
The Monkerai Valley is a quite and picturesque place, with plenty of swimming holes in the Karuah River. We like to go cycling on the dirt roads throughout the valley, riding loops of anything from 20-50km with virtually no traffic.

Monkerai, Nowa Południowa Walia, Australia

Surrounded by a vibrant canopy of greenery, our recently renovated, treehouse-inspired, hardwood log cabins are rustic on the outside, yet mindfully designed with contemporary interiors. The charm of old-world wilderness meets understated comfort, with a focus on sustainable inclusions and modern luxuries. A place for rest, relaxation and rejuvenation; a haven of open spaces and fresh air; trees and tranquillity. We invite you to disconnect from the world and reconnect with yourself.
In a world filled with noise and endless distraction, Carawirry stands apart as a sanctuary of peace, solitude, and tranquillity. Nestled amongst 250 acres of Australian hardwood forest with pockets of lush temperate rainforest and old-growth timbers, seasonal creeks and waterfalls, freshwater swimming holes, and picturesque ridges with tree-topped mountain views that will leave you breathless (but for all the right reasons), Carawirry is an escape like no other. Hiking, nature trails, swimming, geocaching, bushwalking, animal spotting, mountain biking, trail running, fishing, or bird watching - however you wish to explore and interact with nature, you’re sure to find it here at Carawirry. Or, for those who prefer to relax and unwind indoors, we can arrange an onsite restorative yoga lesson or indulgent massage in the privacy of your cabin. The Treehouse Nestled in the secluded upper region of Carawirry, you'll find the charming and oh-so-cozy Treehouse, the perfect getaway for those who have always dreamed of sleeping in their very own cabin in the sky. Complete with contemporary comforts and understated luxuries and inclusions, this cabin sleeps up to eight (8) guests. Both bedrooms include a queen bed and a double sofa bed, making it ideal for couples craving a luxury escape or families with children. (Because who doesn’t love a group sleepover?) Constructed and fully renovated using recycled local timbers, but with all the benefits of modern conveniences and subtle comforts, the Treehouse is an idyllic country getaway for those who seek a slower pace (with just a hint of luxury). The Treehouse is also home to our newest addition to the property, the Bathhouse: a recycled hardwood cubby-style hut adjacent to the cabin housing two spacious bathtubs and sweeping views of the bush. Grab your partner, pop some bubbly, and soak your troubles away in your private indoor/outdoor tubs - the perfect way to finish a big day of adventures! FEATURES: • 2 bedrooms with 4 beds (2 queens, 2 double sofas) • Brand new kitchen with all modern appliances and basic pantry items • Fully-renovated and functional modern bathroom • Spacious living and entertaining areas with LCD smart television and Blu-Ray DVD player • Dual wrap-around verandahs (upstairs and downstairs), complete with outdoor gas BBQ • Indoor fireplace, complete with firewood, kindling and matches • Air conditioning • Outdoor firepit with firewood • Portable Bluetooth speaker • Nespresso coffee machine • Wallawa Indigenous Botanical Skincare toiletries • All linen, blankets, pillows and towels provided • Exclusive private access to the Bathhouse

Main Creek, Nowa Południowa Walia, Australia

The ideal romantic getaway... Set in the Sugarloaf valley, just outside of Dungog NSW, "The Shed" is the perfect place to unwind and soak in the spectacular views of the rolling hills. Cosy up and enjoy a glass of wine by the fire or have a delicious BBQ on your private deck. "The Shed" on Sugarloaf is a self-contained, quiet retreat in the hills. We are located only 10 minutes from historical Dungog and 35 minutes from the southern end of the beautiful Barrington Tops National Park.
"The Shed" on Sugarloaf offers a unique accommodation experience, a converted shed with all the modern conveniences you could ask for including a slow combustion wood fireplace, reverse cycle air conditioning and a complimentary bottle of wine for you to enjoy on arrival. "The Shed' is a bright and airy space with a comfortable queen bed and quality linen throughout. The kitchen and lounge room are spacious and modern and both offer beautiful countryside views from the windows. The private deck also offers magnificent valley views. The grazing cattle and visiting ducks swimming in the dam complete the vista. Please note: The last 2 km of Sugarloaf Road to "The Shed" is unsealed road and while maintained by council and easily passable by 2WD vehicles, care should be taken especially in wet weather and at night. Because of the beautiful rolling hills, phone reception at The Shed can be unreliable. Nothing a short drive down the road or into town can’t fix though! We have also chosen not to provide wifi at The Shed as we really want it to be a relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle of busy life!
"The Shed" is located only 10 minutes from the historical town of Dungog which offers some beautiful cafes, Dungog Barrington Bakery and The Tinshed Brewery. Explore the local growers stall and markets on weekends and browse through the lovely giftware and antique shops along the main street. We are only 35 minutes from stunning Barrington Tops National Park and the beautiful towns of Stroud, Gresford, Paterson and Vacy. There are some little wineries scattered around the local area for you to explore while the heart of the famous Hunter Valley wine region is only just over an hour away.

Newly renovated self contained cottage on 2 acres situated 7ks from the picturesque Dungog. The residence is separate from the main house, giving plenty of privacy with undercover parking available. Hunter valley wineries, Newcastle and port Stephens all within an hour drive. Barrington Tops also within driving distance. My residence is the old Alison school, where apparently, Doug Walters the Australian cricketer went to school in his youth. The cricket pitch is still there!
Nicely renovated self contained cottage with two queen beds,. One room is relatively small but comfortable.
The cottage is set next to the Alison school building which was closed many years ago and is currently being renovated. A short drive to the main town of Dungog which has plenty of places to visit and see.

When is the last time you had a secluded spa, under stars in the bush? Or did the dishes with a perfectly private view into the vineyard? Nah, there’ll be no doing the dishes .. there’s a dishwasher. No clammy sweating .. there’s ducted air conditioning. No shivering .. there’s an internal wood fire, for outside your own fire pit. Wood supplied-you work the axe. No chlorinated swim pool .. there’s a pristine creek. And much more ..

Beautiful accommodation in a fully self-contained cabin, with panoramic views of the Barrington Tops. Has a queen bedroom & a bedroom with single bunk beds. It is equipped for disabled access, plus has a spa bath, well equipped kitchenette, full size stove and fridge, microwave, BBQ, verandah & private firepit. Linen is provided. There is other accommodation on the 100 acre property but they are well set out to provide privacy. Ideal for a weekend away, especially for a small group or family.
This delightful cabin, one of only 3 dwellings on 100 mostly wooded acres, faces north, with delightful views . Relax in the spa bath after a hard day’s bushwalking, BBQ on the veranda, or prepare food in the well equipped kitchenette and enjoy your very own outdoor firepit. Take a picnic and swim in the flowing Williams River 2km away; take leisurely walks, maybe to the pristine “Die Happy” creek. If you have need of an accessible shower this cabin will work for you. The basic cost assumes 2 people sharing the queen bed if for any reason you want to use the bunk beds just add an extra person. If there is just the 2 of you and you don't need the accessible shower have you considered our other cabin Valley View? Remember our cleaning fee is absorbed in the price making your costa simple.

Rose Cottage Torryburn is a newly renovated farmhouse situated upon more than 100 farmland acres fronting the beautiful Allyn River. A scenic 30 minute drive from Maitland and a quick 16minute drive to Tocal College (venue for the annual agricultural field days in May) & the historic Tocal Homestead (also a popular wedding venue). Sydney is only 2 hours away. The beautiful Port Stephens is just over 1 hour and the Hunter Valley wineries, including popular concert venues are a 50 minute drive.
There are three good sized bedrooms, one with ensuite. The cottage is fully self contained with dishwasher, washing machine cooktop, oven, microwave and fridge/freezer. There is a large verandah out the back for you to sit back, relax and take in the views. With the Allyn River only a short stroll from the front door, bring your fishing rods and/or kayaks to make the most of the experience. We do have a local Platypus and if you are lucky you may be able to spot him paddling about and diving for food, unfortunately he can be extremely shy. Mobile phone service is generally available at the property, however, Wi-Fi is available upon request (additional fees apply).
Vacy General Store & Cafe is situated only 7 minutes down the road, where you can enjoy a delicious hot breakfast or grab a take away dinner. In Vacy you will also find the Flying Duck restaurant (unfortunately this restaurant is temporarily closed) as well as the local pub "The Farmers Hotel". If it is pub meals that you are after, in addition to Vacy's local, East Gresford is only 7 minutes up the road or historic Paterson is less than a 15 minutes drive.

Doskonałe wiejskie krajobrazy i ładne buszowe spacery kilka minut jazdy samochodem.

  • Domki Kulanmaya są zagnieżdżone na zboczu malowniczego wzgórza, otoczonego krzakiem i seranadą ptasich pieśni. Powietrze jest chłodne i świeże. 20 minut jazdy samochodem od Dungog, prywatna i zaciszna. Ta kabina była nieskazitelnie czysta z wygodnym łóżkiem, kominkiem, spa i pełną kuchnią (zgodnie z obrazem). Mieliśmy cudownie relaksujący długi weekendowy wypad po okolicy, pozostając w przytulnej, ciepłej i wygodnej kabinie Kulanmaya.

Roscrea Homestead is set in a private and tranquil setting, on a working beef cattle property at Glen William on the banks of the picturesque Williams River.
Few of us are lucky enough to call this beautiful region home – most of us are probably urban, likely rushed, stressed, harried and tired. Sometimes we just need a place like this to recharge our batteries for a time.We will tell you upfront - when you’re at the property you just don’t want to leave.  Sure there’s lots of things you can do during your stay; you can enjoy fishing or picnicking on the river; visiting surrounding historic towns such as Dungog, Paterson or Morpeth; walking in the nearby World Heritage-listed Barrington Tops National Park; taking a BBQ lunch to Chichester Dam or exploring Australia’s famous Hunter Valley wine district. However – we want to be honest and tell you that there’s something so magical about being there that you won’t even want to go to the shops for food!Originally built as a getaway for RM Williams Chief Executive Group – it is now available to anyone needing to dip their toe into a place that soothes the soul. Perfect for families and friends to stay for holidays or just the weekend, as all rooms have a private bathroom, which is essential for communal stays. Importantly – there is plenty to keep the kids entertained (and you in peace!). There is a swimming pool, a cubby house, a media/playroom – and not least wide-open spaces, fresh country air and nature. If peace and solitude is what you are seeking – well we have that in spades. The energy of the place is such that you will immediately and arrestingly feel healed, and nurtured. Our beautiful homestead is everything your mind runs to when you think about a country escape. Fully renovated, the property can sleep up to 12 guests with all bedrooms opening onto the generous wrap-around verandah. The main homestead sleeps 8, featuring 4 large bedrooms (3 queen and 1 twin) each with their own bathroom. Along the verandah there are 2 lovely extra queen bedrooms with en suites to accommodate a further 4 guests, which are available at an additional cost of $95 per person per night. Daily room servicing is also available at an additional cost. The home is luxuriously yet comfortably furnished and features a separate rumpus/TV room, laundry and large return verandahs with expansive rural views. The large country-style gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with all the mod cons you expect – new appliances, including huge fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher and Smeg cooktop and oven. The superb lounge / dining area is complete with comfortable lounge and armchairs, a large dining table and combustion fire. Roscrea Homestead is located about 5km from the village of Clarence Town and 25km from Dungog. It is approximately 2 hours from Sydney, 45 minutes from Newcastle and the Hunter Valley vineyards.Limousine, coach, or helicopter transport from Newcastle airport, to and from the Hunter Valley vineyards and concerts can be arranged. Please discuss your requirements at time of booking. Added Bonus: Every reservation at Roscrea will be afforded a 5pm late check out free of charge (subject to availability in terms of same-day incoming bookings). That's right! As long as we are not booked for an arrival on your departure day, your group can enjoy this beautiful space up until 5pm on the day of your departure. Miss the traffic heading home and really make the most of your stay.
