The Studio Somers

Once a beach shack, became an artist’s studio, then rescued as a comfortable home and holiday escape, close to the beach and Somers General Cafe. A wonderful place to sit and relax, walk on the beach or explore local wineries and farm produce. In order to safely manage the conditions brought with COVID (and maintain our low tariff) we introduced a 3 night minimum. We are now able to offer a 2 night stay but this is at a higher rate than a stay for 3 nights or more. Please enquire for the rate.

A delightful, pet friendly, 2 bedroom unit in a fabulous location. On the Esplanade and across the road from superb Fisherman’s Beach. Perfect for relaxing, swimming and all water activities. A 2 minute stroll to Lilo’s cafe and the Fisherman’s Beach boat ramp. A 10 minute walk to Main Street Mornington, parks, shops superb restaurants, pubs, cafes, parks, scenic walks and historic landmarks. Retro Beach house across the road and over the sand dunes to the beach. Recently updated with new furniture, aircon and heating throughout. A roaring open fire place for you to enjoy during winter and electric blankets on every bed except top bunks! A great place to stay for graduating HMAS families. Maximum of 8 adults please (and up to 4 children) Please note, a bond of $500 will be collected prior to check-in. Your bond will be returned subject to adhering to house rules.

Rated as one of the best suburbs of Mon Pen, peaceful Somers is a great base to explore the sights of MP. Walk down to the quiet & dog friendly beach (8 minute walk), grab a delicious breakfast & coffee at the Somers General, dine in style at Tulum village in Balnarring, and return to a cosy, well appointed and pet friendly 3 bedroom house to rest & recharge! MP is buzzing all year with amazing wineries, restaurants, markets & activities like cherry and strawberry picking.
