All in a secluded, private setting minutes from town!

Tall Oaks Retreat

Relax with the whole family at this most peaceful place to stay. We welcome 2 - 6 guests to our spacious home overlooking a pond. Our closest neighbors are deer and Canadian geese. Each room features elegant surprises -- a quiet reading nook, 2 gas fireplaces, breakfast in our sunporch, double wine/soft drink fridge, serene dining room, well-equipped kitchen, 3 bedrooms plus a study with daybed, spacious living room, 3 full baths, and lower-level game room, right next to the full laundry.

Feel right at home with full kitchen with dishwasher, access to W/D for week long stays, and several nearby restaurants/services, colleges and tourist sites: LC 9 miles, LU 11, RC 12, Poplar Forest-4, D-Day Memorial 20, Peaks of Otter- 24. Features: hot tub, outdoor dining area, small kitchenette amenities, and smart-tv w/firestick (must use your hotspot to stream). 10 min to BR Parkway, Peaks of Otter, and Claytor Nature Center. Wineries, orchards, and hiking nearby. Friendly dogs may occasionally visit from my mother’s house next door. (Look for Wind Tides Farm sign). ***If booking in winter months, keep in mind the wind tends to be heavy, depending on weather.***

Magic is the word most people use when they visit this hidden gem. Built in 1939 as a fishing cabin by a gentleman who incorporated box cars as rafters and beams, dates still visible since removing the attic. By far the best place I've ever lived. I decided to share it with others who love to explore, who love listening to the voice of the creek or who come just to sit on the porch high above the creek with a spouse, friend, family, or alone. For the best sleep, open the bedroom window!

Beautiful, large 2 bedroom apartment with stunning sunset views. Full kitchen with Keurig Coffee, microwave, oven/stove, toaster, and refrigerator. The large family room has seating for 11 while you watch cable TV. Please NO SMOKING on these premises. Swimming pool MAY be available. The pool is our families, but it often works out that my guests can use it. You must communicate your wishes and we will see it's availability. An outdoor grill is available.
