We are located minutes from Penn National Golf Course, Caledonia Golf Course and State Park, the Appalachian Trail, shopping and restaurants. Gettysburg, PA is a 30 min. drive away and DC is less than 2 hours from us. There are several ski resorts close by as well. We live out of town and settle in this home when we are in the area for a few weeks each year. We have attempted to make this space a home for ourselves that you will enjoy as well. Claire House is a renovated home on the banks of Middle Spring Creek. Its restored open porch and balcony over look the cool spring waters as they meander past the property and under the wooden foot bridge. An old pavilion with a rustic table and benches, along with a fire pit, sit close by. In the spring, the creek is stocked with trout for the fishing enthusiasts. Shippensburg University and the Luhrs Center are less than 2 miles away as are numerous eateries and shopping experiences.

This little haven is close to a great fishing spot at Meadow Grounds State Park lake. Hiking at Cowens Gap State Park. And Buchanan's Birthplace State Park not far away. You can relax as you watch the sunset for one of the two overlooks on neighboring mountains. Come and enjoy it for yourself!

Cozy country charm

My cottage has beautiful views from every side of the house and a relaxing front porch to sit and relax and enjoy a cup of coffee. It's a cozy cottage at the foot of the mountain with lots of privacy. There are no neighbors. There are horses here to enjoy watching them graze or feed them a snack. It's truly a nice getaway and still only a half hour from 3 local towns. For warmer weather there is a firepit, picnic table, grill and some nice shaded areas to relax.
