Herring Cove has much to offer with its hiking, sight seeing, simply sitting at the dock, or visiting our popular Pavia Cafe. It is a 15 minute drive to Downtown. This is a great spot for cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts.

My mom used to say that the ocean air gives life to your lungs. We built this accessible backyard suite on our property for her, but now it's entirely yours. Experience gorgeous sunrises, access a secluded pebble beach, kayak and surf the ocean, bike the Cow Bay loop and the Salt Marsh trail, and enjoy Rainbow Haven beach all while being only minutes from Halifax. This adorable completely re-modeled cottage is steps away from the beautiful, sandy, salt water beach known as Coolen's Beach in Shad Bay, Nova Scotia. Twenty minutes from Halifax with hiking, kayaking, golf courses and restaurants all close by and scenic Peggy's Cove a short 20 minute drive away.
