Pet owners need to be aware there is a small pond.Fishing and walking is popular and there are local clubs. Location between Blackpool and Manchester .

Turton Tower is a short walk away and Bromley Cross train station is 1.5 miles with a direct line to Manchester and Clitheroe. The Lancashire cycle way runs past the doorstep as does as the cycling stage of Ironman uk.
