York is 20 min by car. Country Houses , Sledmere, Castle Howard and Burton Agnes are all within a 30 minute drive. Family/ friends, Male or Female groups welcome. There is also a wood burning stove to keep you cosy. We are in a quiet village called East Cottingwith: a fantastic base for visiting York and touring Yorkshire. Ideal for cyclists, bird watchers, walkers and anyone who wishes to enjoy a rural location close to the attractions of the city of York. There is no regular public transport.

Please also note that the property has slipper baths - there are no showers or shower heads (see pictures) Private area with seating and a hot tub. We are in the countryside but only 2 miles from local amenities. Pocklington is 2 miles, The beautiful city of York is 12 miles, the coast is only an hours drive.
