The Cider Lodge - Charming 1-Bed Annexe Retreat

We are Katherine and Mat Edwards, and together with our children, we live at Cider Cottage in the peaceful village of Swimbridge. We're delighted to welcome you to our cosy one-bedroom garden annexe, Cider Lodge. It's the perfect retreat for couples, solo travellers or young families – and we're happy to welcome one well-behaved dog. You have your own private space with access to our large, secure, shared garden where you can relax and spot local wildlife such as birds, deer and hedgehogs.

Come and enjoy a rural retreat in our newly converted barn with unrivalled views over Exmoor and a cosy chic interior. Situated privately within a working farm, relax on the spacious patio, secluded garden or in the luxury hot tub. Each bedroom has a spacious ensuite with stand alone bath and walk-in shower. Underfloor heating and a cosy wood-burner. There is an EV charger at the barn. Beaches and moorland all within a half hour drive. Being within a working farm, sadly we cannot allow dogs.

You might just sleep better than you have in years.

Swallow View, Umberleigh, North Devon

Beautiful guest house just outside Umberleigh in North Devon, in the heart of the Taw Valley. Our guest house is situated atop a hill with panoramic views of the surrounding scenery and historic Tarka Trail. Fully self-contained building, patio and parking area. Fully fitted kitchen and living room, with a separate bedroom and en-suite bathroom. Underfloor heating coupled with a log burning fireplace for chilly days. Only a short drive to some stunning beaches and marvelous countryside.

Swimbridge self-contained annexe

Nestled in the picturesque and friendly village of Swimbridge, the annexe at Willows is a comfortable and well equipped base for those looking to explore the beautiful local area of North Devon. Integrated in the main house, but with independent access and parking it is easy to feel at home. Relax or work (good WiFi) in the lounge and use the kitchenette to self-cater or head to the village pub 200m away. Great beaches 14 miles / Exmoor National Park 5 miles. Sorry no pets.

Set in the grounds of a 600 year old, thatched Devon Longhouse, with lakes, beautifully designed and thoughtfully placed at an angle to ensure privacy. Inside has a kitchenette, log burner and en-suite shower, whilst outside there is a luxurious hot tub, covered decking area, BBQ and chiminea. An idyllic spot for snuggling up and stargazing.
