Equestrians, you can arrange to bring your horse, ride in our arena or on nearby stunning Uretiti beach. If you'd like to bring your friendly dog, we can accommodate your furry friends. Our location is very quiet: no traffic noise, just the occasional sound of surf and birds. Not just for horse lovers.

A boutique, sun-drenched and special hideaway set on 5 acres of permaculture tranquility. Your own three private cabins are nestled near 800 year old trees and joined with decks and pathways for you to wander and discover your bath. The bedroom opens out to a covered deck, and the full kitchen has a covered area with a large outdoor dining table and gas BBQ. Up the steps to the bathroom with a fresh, waterless, European electric toilet. Close to nature, beaches, markets, walks, cafes and fun.

Taurikura Peninsula Seaview Private Cabin and Camp

Comfortable self-contained cabin for 2, sitting upon a stunning private hilltop site overlooking Taurikura Bay in Whangarei Heads. Affordable peace, quiet and privacy is our aim (1 night stays available most days). Grass camping site space available (campers #3-8 will need to bring own tent/bed/linen /consumable items and supplies). The parking area is not situated at the cabin so sleeping in vehicles can only be done so at separate ends of the property. Safe ample parking available on site.

"The Retreat"

Make sure you pack your swimming suit and take a dip in the Lake!

The Annex - self contained unit .

The Annex is on a small farmlet, 6 km south of Whangarei, with harbour views. It was a sleepout, built in the 1980's, separate, but next to the main house. It has two bedrooms. There is a double bed and two singles plus a day bed in the living area. The living/ dining area, has a wood fire. There is a small shower room and separate toilet. It is situated about 100 mtr off SH1, so there can be road noise. There are no streetlights and it can be very dark if you arrive after sundown.

Waterfront Quintessential kiwi bach

This is a quintessential basic kiwi bach, absolute waterfront, stunning views, a hidden treasure with bush and beach walks, amazing fishing and diving. Our bach comes complete with everything needed for a beach holiday, weekend retreat or romantic getaway. An easy 10 minute stroll to local cafe or ten minute drive to Parua Bay cafes, 4 square and gas station and the infamous Parua Bay Tavern. Access to the Bach is down a short but moderately steep bush track(see photo).

We are 15 mins drive on sealed roads to amenities in both Mangawhai and Wellsford, 8 mins to the Te Arai surf beach turnoff and 12 minutes to the Te Arai Links course.
