Karearea Cottage is on 4 acres with a horse and pony next to the cottage. We are central to the Waikato, minutes from the Waikato Expressway/SH1 - approx. an hours drive to Auckland, west coast surfing/fishing beaches like Raglan, 90 mins to east coast Coromandel's world renowned beautiful beaches, a short drive to Hakarimata bushwalks with 800 year old Kauri, Golf Course, Hot Pools, Huntly Speedway, 20 minutes to Hamilton, Hampton Downs Raceway, and lovely cafe's a short drive.

Make the 8km pilgrimage to Manu Bay Reserve, the Holy Grail of NZ surfing. Maybe instead, from the comfort of the great room dial it back and marvel at the light changes and tidal swings as you look across Kaitoke inlet onto Mount Karioi. Nestled between grassland and trees, this guest house is the perfect place to soak up New Zealand’s beautiful nature. Relax watching the birds and scenic hills or get hands on with the family pets. You can feed the alpacas or visit the chicken to collect some eggs. There is always a spare paddock for horsey people visiting the area and plenty of room to park a trailer or boat. We are located 10 min away from Hobbiton, Karapiro lake and 15 min from Cambridge town centre.
