We are on Banchi sopra Sopra, the main course of the historical center of Siena, below the house you will find the best shops in the center with all the brands of high fashion, lots of restaurants; Wineries, Bars and Supermarkets with typical Tuscan products.

The Casa del Capitano is located on the top of Monte Grosso in the National park of the tuscan archipelago. The location is unique on the island and from here you have a fantastic view of the city of Portoferraio, Piombino, Corsica, Capraia and Gorgona. The house was restored during a project lasting several years, in close collaboration with the National Park and was designed to be self-sufficient and ecological. Podere Piazza war der Wohnsitz von Alessandro Cervini degli Spannocchi, der am 29 Mai 1747 zum Erzbischof von Siena ernannt wurde, er war ein Nobile di Montepulciano und Patrizier von Siena. Die Gebäude von Podere Piazza tragen noch heute sein Wappen. Somit erklärt sich auch unser Kirchlein, am Straßenabzweig, davor rechts zur Pinienallee und links in die Einfahrt.
