Paul was a fantastic host - incredibly kind and helpful. He gave my friend and I a number of recommendations for amazing local restaurants, bars and more and even drew a map of the surrounding area with a lot of his recommendations denoted. The apartment is even nicer than in the pictures - really stylish and nicely sized, with a gorgeous outdoor garden/courtyard (perfect for a leisurely breakfast). Could not recommend this stay more!

It's all about the details. Paul was by far one of the best hosts we have had on AirBNB. We wish we could have stayed longer but arrived late and had to hit the road early. During our stay Paul greeted us curbside and showed us to the suite. After a brief tour he provided us with a comprehensive list of local know-how (complete with a hand drawn map!) The suite is a must see. There is so much to see and explore in a "efficient" size. I wish I knew more about interior decorating to rave endlessly about the room. (Paul we read the article!) Our time was very relaxing and much needed. Upon "check out" Paul made sure we knew the best breakfast in town. Two thumbs up!

Terrific experience with Paul and Zach! The room was comfortable and described accurately. The hosts were available and helpful but not intrusive. Every detail of the room was perfect - I think they must have been their own "guests" to make sure that everything you needed was there! :) The diverse neighborhood was also delightful - lots of places to eat and explore. Just walking around was fun - to look at all the old houses and meet the people. And there is a bike rental one block away. We also received a map of the neighborhood with suggestions of places to visit (Howard Theater was a special one) and lots of places to eat.

This is my second time staying with Paul and will be staying again next month ie I love staying here. Being greeted by Paul is such a warm welcoming experience which I extra appreciate. I highly recommend staying here if staying someplace with charm and having a wonderful host adds to your time in DC.

This is an absolutely charming place to stay in DC, and at a great price. The space is small but cozy, clean, and beautifully decorated, with some thoughtful extras like toiletries, spring water, juice, tea, coffee, and chocolates. This is a private space with a separate entrance, in what was likely once a garage. Not a full kitchen, but there is a small fridge and a hot plate so you could do a bit of cooking or reheating leftovers if desired. There is an electric kettle for tea or coffee. The outside garden courtyard is a lush oasis you can enjoy in warm weather. The neighborhood is nice, with several great restaurants. It's around a two mile or so walk to downtown, a straight shot down North Capitol. You can also walk about ten minutes to the metro and get anywhere. Another nice perk is that the hosts, Paul and Zach, give you a parking pass for the duration of your stay, allowing for free street parking, which adds to the value. The hosts are friendly, helpful, and informative. We will certainly stay there again next time we return to DC.

I had a short stay at Julian & Lucrecia’s beautiful home for my cousin’s wedding. It was very comfortable and well decorated and peaceful. The area was for getting around town for me as well. Julian and Lucrecia were kind hosts, although I didn’t have much time to interact with them in my short visit. I would have loved to have stayed longer!

Great space, located in a quiet neighborhood close to restaurants and shops. Easy Metro or Uber jump to museums and monuments.

Julian and Lucrecia’s home is really beautiful, full of interesting art, furniture, and plants. The bedroom itself is comfortable and quiet and was perfect for my stay in DC. The neighborhood cannot be beat with easy walking access to restaurants, bars, shops, etc. Julian also kindly offered multiple suggestions of places to visit. The check-in process was relaxed and easy as well and I would highly recommend this space to anyone visiting DC!

We highly recommend Jessica's place. The location is perfect for getting around DC. Jessica went out of her way to provide the breakfast items we love, e.g. fresh strawberries, organic yogurt and coffee. Sumptuous house as advertised. I stayed here for one month after relocating to Washington after some years abroad. My favorite times were preparing breakfast in a sunlit designer kitchen watching as the snow melted in the garden. Or, a close second, was hanging out in the living room snuggled up underneath a warm blanket. Jessica had impeccable taste in food as well — all food local farmers market inspired. A wonderful stay and welcome home.

Great location and spotlessly clean loft Jenny replied very promptly to all my questions before and during and left good instructions for entering the apartment and getting around the area Although we didn’t use the kitchen , it was very well equipped and if you don’t want to use the washing machine there’s a laundromat over the road which did a service wash in 3 hours The bathroom was large , and again lots of fluffy towels and generous provision of shower gel and shampoo Must mention the ice cream downstairs which is excellent I would happily return I have only used 3 air Bnb properties before and all 3 have been excellent

Everybody should stay here!! Linden was the perfect host. She made out stay very comfortable. This tiny house has everything you will need for a short stay in Washington D.C. The shower is hot and powerful. The bed queen size bed is super comfortable. There is even a handy bench outside the property which we used to eat yogurts for breakfast in the mornings. The TV had cable too which was a nice bonus. Overall, this is a great place to stay. If we ever decide to re-visit DC, we will be looking for this one again. 5 Stars! Note: I left something in the tiny house and and after contacting the host (Linden), she offered to ship it back to me. No questions asked. What a great host. Above and beyond the expectation.

Mieszkanie Roberty to prawdziwy skarb. Przytulne, czyste, w doskonałej okolicy. Świetnie przygotowane na pobyt gości. Rewelacyjnie urządzone - w kuchni jest wszystko czego potrzeba. Standard całości w stosunku do ceny - rewelacja. I Roberta - świetna gospodyni - przemiła, przyjazna, pomocna. Dba o gości jakby czekała na ich przyjazd od dawna i każdy jest wyjątkowo traktowany. Małe dodatki sprawiają ze można poczuć się jak w domu. Zdecydowanie polecam- jedno z najlepszych mieszkań na Airbnb jakie dotąd poznałam.

Roberta has a charming house in a quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed eating a few blocks away and walking around a bit before our train ride from the Brookland station - she's easy going and her place is easy to check into. If you have the opportunity to stay here while you're in DC, do it! We left our car in front on her block with no problem for 2 days straight. Thanks, Roberta :-)

It was a wonderful experience to stay at Roberta's bnb. The place was impeccably clean, very well organized, comfortable, and cozy. The room was warm, and I really appreciated a heater in the bathroom (I think every bathroom should have one :) ). Roberta was always prompt in responding to messages, and she is a pleasure to speak to in person. The location is very convenient; it's about a 10 minute walk to the metro. There are plenty of local restaurants and even a yoga studio one block away where I took a class one evening. I had dinner at a local Ethiopian restaurant (also about a 10 min walk away from the bnb) that somebody else recommended, and the food was delicious. The bottom line is that I would recommend Roberta's bnb to anybody, and if I find myself in DC again, I know where I am staying. :)

Great location and beautiful architecture. Check in was easy and Jessica was extremely responsive and helpful. Not sure it was worth the $$ though, as common areas were a bit messier than anticipated and there was ongoing construction throughout the home during our stay. If these changes were made, though, stay would have been perfect!

Georgetown is a beautiful area and is super close to everything there is to see and do in D.C. Perfect little home-away-from-home for daily forays into the city. (The kitchen is very basic & there isn't a TV, so this is a great crash pad if you are planning most of your activities out & about.) Stayed with my middle-school-aged son and enjoyed being right in the heart of the city, so convenient to public transportation. It's a lovely home on a friendly street, and Marc was very accessible and helpful.

L'appartement est bien conforme à sa description; tout de même, quelques critiques: la salle de bain semble d'une autre époque et aurait besoin d'un rafraichissement; il y a bien un coin cuisine mais si vous optez pour des repas sur place, il faut prévoir table et chaises sinon , mangez sur la table basse du salon le point très négatif reste l'insonorisation et surtout la chaudière de la maison est située dans les placards du couloir ( l'appartement étant situé en sous sol) et il y règne un épouvantable vacarme la nuit.... point positif: situation géographique ( bus à proximité, commerces à pieds à quelques pas et le prix d'une location très abordable pour Washington.

Marc's place is very spacious and well equipped with all basics to prepare food and organize your stuff. Lots of furniture to relax outside the bedroom. The location is nice, we chose to do a 15-min walk to the metro which worked well for us. The neighborhood seems to be safe and quiet. Overall good value for visiting DC.

The property is great value and in a great location for seeing all of DC if you don't mind a bit of walking or you can easily catch public transport. What a lovely place! Marc was a wonderful host, unintrusive but helpful whenever help was needed. I loved the space - comfortable, great lighting, and pretty neighborhood. A Keurig, mini-fridge and microwave were nice touches that let me avoid having to constantly go out to eat. The heated floor and wood-burning oven made for extra-cozy touches, very welcome on chilly autumn nights. Highly recommended!

Perfect space for adventuring around town. A quick Uber ride anywhere and a short walk from cute little shops, restaurants, and cafes. Check in & check out are extremely easy and Marc answers questions and checks in as needed! A great host and a great spot. We drove to DC so it was great to have a spot for my car, one less worry and one less expense!

Marc's place is located in a nice neighborhood, close to downtown and the room offered is what looks like a converted garage. this is a perfect place for a weekend stay. it may be small, but considering all we needed for the weekend is a bed to sleep in and a shower it was perfect for sightseeing trips or convention stays. Marc is polite, and very accommodating. would definitely stay again.

Marc was super friendly. While schedules meant we couldn't chat face to face he was very helpful during the check in process. The space itself was absolutely beautiful and had a ton of charm. Will definitely stay again when I return to the DC area.

Really lovely morning light in this fun and unique setting. Feels very private even though you can hear the sounds of the city nearby. Easy commute by bus or train downtown. Great restaurants just two blocks away. Marc was very responsive with easy check in and out. Shower was a bit tricky, but would stay here again!

Marc made us extremely welcome, allowing us an early check when we were tired after our very late train. The bed is comfortable and the coffee machine very appreciated! Area is quiet. Very private domain, entry through well lighted lane. Lots of hot water, close to the bus which is only 20 minutes into to town. Taxi is 10 - 12 minutes into Union Station.

In many ways, this is a great place to stay. The room is spacious, the neighbourhood is nice and quiet, and Diane is a very generous host. The only drawback is that the acoustics of the flat are a bit weird. In the living room, the TV is placed at the feet of the stairs leading upstairs, which means that when the TV is on, you can hear it from the room, behind a closed door, very much as loud as it is in the living room itself.

Diane's place is great! She's really nice and knows a lot about the area. The neighborhood is quiet. The area has several affordable restaurants and coffee shops. It's not too far from the Takoma Metro station and doesnt take long to get to other parts of DC.

Diane is really great! She is so helpful. On my first day here she took me around showing me all the near by supermarkets, bus stations and metro. The room was perfectly furnished with all the things I need. It really made me feel like home.

Diane's place was perfect for what I needed. I was there for the entire summer for an internship. There was plenty of space for all my clothes and belongings, and space for me to have enough food to cook three meals a day. Because of similar schedule's, Diane was very understanding of my comings and goings, and made living there while working easy. The metro is a 10-15 walk down a road (with sidewalks) so it was a perfect way to start and end my day. The neighborhood itself was so cute and safe; there are great restaurants (a couple of which that have great bars) and the farmer's market on Sunday has a great variety and great prices. I would definitely stay here again!

Kevin’s home is like a boutique hotel. It’s beautifully decorated and very clean. I recommend Kevin’s place and will book again on my next visit to Washington DC.

Superó ampliamente nuestras expectativas. Todo fue perfecto: limpio, cómodo, agradable. La casa está a nuevo, todo funciona a la perfección. Los elementos de tocador abundantes y de primera calidad. El barrio muy tranquilo, pintoresco y elegante. Como highlight: la terraza-deck, lugar sensacional para tomar el desayuno. Kevin muy amable y discreto, fue de gran ayuda a la hora de decidir programas.

Kevin is a 5-star host. He is easy communicating and patient. Before you arrive, he will give you some suggestions for DC. As for the accommodation, it’s well designed and clean. Very comfortable for sleeping. The location is good too, you can go everywhere in downtown about 10 mins by Lyft/Uber. If possible，I hope I can be here again in the future. : )

Our quick trip to DC was such a success thanks to Kevin’s great hospitality. My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay in Kevin’s home and we would definitely stay here again. We drove and thanks to Kevin, were able to have great, safe parking near the house. 13/10 would recommend!

Tianni was a lovely hostess! Very helpful. The room was clean and tidy. Very convenient location and access to public transportation was convenient. I had a great dinner around the corner at the Red Hen. I highly recommend Tianni’s place! Although Tianni was out of town, she was readily available by text and gave me some great tips.

Everything was perfect!

Small but adorable place close to everything. It's not quite big enough to hang out in but it's perfect if you just need a place to sleep and shower. Only complaint was the thin walls.

This is such a cute row house with plenty of beautiful homes nearby! The room was spotless and tidy. We had lots of privacy.(the private entrance really adds to the experience) There was even a microwave and a small fridge for our takeout leftovers! The bed was comfortable and the linens were soft and fresh. I would stay in this neigborhood and at this airbnb next time I'm in DC! I highly recommend this adorable private room!

Tianni’s place was ideal for our 3-night stay in Washington. It is located between two subway stations (15 mins walk) making it ideal for exploring the city and visiting all the points of interest. The room was very fresh, clean and tidy when we arrived. It could get a bit cold during the day & night (we visited in the beginning of January) but Tianni had provided us with a fan heater which we used quite a lot. All in all staying at Tianni's was an excellent choice for out trip!

We loved the accommodation. We meet Clifford at check in and he allied us through the space. Very kind and warm. It was everything we needed. The extras like coffee and water were great. Very cosy bed slept well. The accommodation was very clean and furnished lovely. The property is about 20 mins from Silver Spring and Takoma station. Über was about $4-5 from the stations to his house. The stations will take you right into the city. The buses are about 45 mins from the station. It's hard to stay what he could have done to make our stay better.

Cliff was a great host to us. He is a very friendly and helpful person. The apartment was very clean, the bed was super comfy, the carpet was very soft, the apartment was greatly equiped. We found everything we needed, also a washing machine and dryer, which we could use. We had an awesome stay in DC. Thank you Cliff.

Clifford's place is outstanding! It is very clean and is exactly how it pictured on the site. It is about 15 minute walk to the nearest metro stop. Clifford has a basket of umbrellas, brochures and ponchos, which was a very nice touch. Clifford was a very nice host. I highly recommend his place!

We loved the apartment, it's warm and cozy and we were able to walk to the Union Station and the Capitol in less than half an hour. Also the neighborhood is very nice and quiet, with lots of joggers and people who walk their dogs - and not so many cars. Adam and Jen even left us some snacks and drinks in the fridge, which we really enjoyed after our loooong ride on the Greyhound bus from Savannah to Washington :-)

Exactly as advertised. I didn’t need anything but a bed and a shower and this easily (and cheaply!) provided both. Desk and mini fridge were nice. Very easy check in. Short walk to the Metro. It’s described as a basement but I think ground floor bedroom is more accurate. Basically felt like a small private space which, again, was perfect for what I needed. Amble street parking. Would recommend.

Overall, a good stay. Basic amenities were provided (except water). Place was well kept and super clean! However, the area around the place wasn’t too convenient for us (despite metro station being very close) and got pretty scary at night.

A great place to live in DC. Kevin is very quick in response and flexible in check-in time. We arrived around 11pm and check-in was easier than expected. The AC is a bit loud and it's been on and off the whole night so it may be hard to sleep through for light sleepers.

Fantastic stay in Washington. Apartment was as described, extremely clean and beds very comfortable. We stayed 4 nights and walked a short 15min into Union station each day to start our adventures. Meseret greeted us promptly at 2 pm and welcomed us to the apartment with some special treats. The apartment is close to the metro rail and in a welcoming part of town. The neighbors are friendly and our son enjoyed playing outside with her children. If we're ever in town again we'd definitely stay here!

Meseret and Sam were wonderful hosts! The place was pristine, close to the Metro, and had plenty of amenities. Great value for the money. My family and I really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this place!

I stayed at Meseret's with three other friends. Meseret and her husband were gracious hosts. There was plenty of room for four people, the pullout mattress was very comfortable. The location was closer to Noma/Near Northeast than Capitol Hill, which we didn't recognize being our first time in DC, but we enjoyed the neighborhood and found it accessible by metro. I would recommend this space!

The Airbnb was in a good location and for the quality and value it was good, I stayed with my best friend and we aren't to picky. The only thing that bothered us a bit was the amount of spiders. They tended to stay outside but some lived in cracks and corners of the inside of the basement unit. Overall it was a good place to stay for a short time.

The basement apartment was as described and perfectly ideal for my trip. The neighborhood was quiet and safe within driving distance to everything. The host was gracious and responded in a quick and courteous manner. I would definitely stay at this location again if in town.

It's a good friendly place. A lot of people are coming and going so if you're okay with that and with sharing a room with several people it's an excellent place to stay.

Had all the basics someone needs at a fantastic rate and great location. Host is nice and very helpful/responsive. Cons: can be a bit unnerving that the apartment is unlocked all the time and you can't lock your room either if someone needs to get in and sleep.

Gustavo’s place was really brilliant! Everything was as described although some pictures simply don’t match because space was redecorated. It was spotless clean and extremely cozy. We especially enjoyed the comfortable bed and private bathroom. Gustavo was very responsive and always there to help. Andy is of course the best dog and we loved his company. Concerning the location it is 15 mins walk to the Subway station and the Red line takes u to the main spots in town.

Checking in and out were very easy, and Mayra was very responsive and quick to reply. The location was very convenient and just a 15 minute walk or short Uber to everything. The size is perfect for two people (more would be tight).

Stayed for a little over two months and had a great time. This is a fantastic base of operations if you have work nearby or even just for exploring and social aspects. Metro is close and if you ever need a bite to eat and don't want to go out, there is a pizza shop two doors down, 10 second walk. Neighbors above have children that create lots of noise at times but that is common and to be expected. Overall, for the price this is a fantastic airbnb, long-term or night to night.

Location is really great. This place is very close to Logan Circle and the 14th St. corridor. Whole Foods is in less than 10 mins walking distance, and you can easily walk to National Mall (25 mins) or to Georgetown (35~40 mins) when the weather is nice. While there, I pretty much walk to everywhere. The place itself is as described, and Mayra was accommodating with my early check-in time. It is unfortunate that there was some uninvited insects issues during my stay, possibly due to the coming of spring season. To her credit, Mayra was prompt in her communication and efforts to address the issue asap. DC is in full blossom, and Mayra's place is well-situated to explore DC in all its glory.

The flat is great - neat and tidy, with all the necessary amenities. I stayed there for 10 days and I felt perfectly at home. The location is fantastic - safe area, close to shops and restaurants (5-10 min walk, depending what you want), with nearest Metro station about 10 min walk away. Great communication with the host, although we didn't even meet in person - there was no need, everything was arranged smoothly. I definitely recommend staying at Mayra's!

I definitely enjoyed my time at this AirBnB. I used to live in DC and it felt like I was back at home in my old neighborhood. The apartment is perfect size for 1 or two people. The Apple TV was a cool (and unexpected) bonus to the living room and the wi-fi was very reliable. I also enjoyed how centrally located the space is.

Alan's English basement apartment was phenomenal. The finishes throughout the apartment are high end and we could not have asked for a more comfortable stay. It's about a 5 minute walk to a Metra station and easily walkable to most of the monuments/tourist attractions in DC. We especially loved how cozy the living room felt with the fireplace! Alan was also extremely available and responsive whenever we had questions about getting around DC or things that we should see/do. We've already recommended his apartment to our friends that will be traveling to DC and would not hesitate to stay there again.

Alan was an awesome host. He made sure we had everything we needed for our weekend in DC. He gave us advice on where to go and what to do with our 5 year old son. Alan already had maps and directions left out upon our arrival. Perfect apartment for us to stay. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and sitting outside, we even ate some of our meals on outdoor table. Overall we were very pleased and impressed. Not to mention he had out favorite coffee. Alan was a great host to communicate with and the apartment was fully furnished and well organized. The bathroom was heated and there were even heated towels. We had a cosy time sleeping on the sofa bed and the fireplace was definitely a bonus after a long day walking outside in the cold. I really enjoyed our stay in this cozy little hut. Ken and Nicole were always nice and helpful. Even we had snow and it was freezing cold outside the hut became warm very quickly. A little kitchen provided everything for breakfast or a small snack in the evening. Maybe a bit far from public transport (but maybe that just felt so far because of the snow…) I highly recommend Ken and Nicole!

We loved staying at the "cozy cabin in the city." The place lives up to it's name! I was very clean, private, cozy, and had everything we needed. You can jump on the bus and be downtown in 10, walk to the metro (~20min) or rent bikes up on H street. The area has a-lot of great up-and-coming bars, restaurants, late night pizza and a pie shop to boot! (with the best cherry pie Elena has tasted). Nicole and Ken were very helpful and accommodating, easy to get in touch with and found ways to help us out even when they were out of town

We enjoyed our time in the cabin, and got exactly what we were hoping for: a stay in the suburbs of Washington, while still being close enough to the city to see everything! Thanks, Ken, for helping us get sorted out with those rented bikes from Capital-Bike-Share across the park ... we ended up spending the entire day riding around amongst the monuments! And we shall never forget waking up to thick snow on our last morning ... this, ahead of our 500km drive back to JFK and a flight home! As for the cabin itself, it was very nicely done out with everything a tourist could possibly hope for! Given the cold, we were especially pleased to find additional blankets and an extra duvet ... both of which were used! Yes, the cabin is TINY ... don't forget that due to our long travels we had two large suitcases which somehow had to be accommodated too! There's only a single basin in the place, which meant having to brush our teeth in the same place where we had just done the dishes! Ah, well ... not the end of the world! We enjoyed the maps and guides to the city which were freely available. Thanks for having us, Ken and Nicole!

Bryan's place is truly one-of-a-kind. Nestled in historic Anacostia, the apartment is beautiful, luxurious & very homey. Despite the fact that the neighborhood is up and coming, I felt very safe. The private parking pad is a huge bonus. You don't necessarily want to venture late at night by yourself, but you don't want to do that in DC period. Everything of interest is a quick Uber ride away. Bryan is an excellent, gracious host. He immediately makes you feel welcome and is a great tour guide! He obviously knows so much about DC and his neighborhood and loves sharing the knowledge. I highly recommend staying at his gem of a place!

The place (basement apartment) has very nice and modern touches (big TV screen, microwave, fridge, stove/oven and extensive utensils for cooking at home). The neighborhood felt like you should be careful after sundown. The check in process for the basement apartment is very complex (three different passwords going through three different locks and pad locks) and the entrance is through a back alley so make sure you drive your car into the alley and drop all your luggage before you park in front. Otherwise the apartment is very comfortable and very well stocked. Laura is very nice and she brought us homemade Thai tea.

Very much enjoyed out stay at Laura's place. We used Uber/Lyft to get everywhere and it was quick and short drive to everywhere we wanted to go. Loved having 2 beds in the living room and a King bed in the bedroom.

Nicole is AMAZING. She goes above and beyond to make sure you’re comfortable and you have all you need. The place is clean. I was just a 20 metro ride from the Smithsonian museums, so it’s great for any traveler wanting to do the tourist thing. Location is ideal (!) - just an easy one block walk to a new and free streetcar line going to Union Station (and connecting Metro lines). Comfy bed, good restaurants nearby and Read is friendly and helpful in getting your bearings to the DC area. I would go back there again!

Great time. Readm was super friendly, offered solid D.C. tips, and provided a great spot for son and I to crash while in D.C. for a brief vacation. Amenities commensurate with budget-friendly price and would stay here again. Easy in, easy out and great value.

A decent place that is indeed very conveniently located next to the DC Streetcar, which will take you to Union for free and you can transfer there for where you need to go. Was less cleaner than I would have liked, but the room itself was fine, and the bed was comfortable. Liked the natural lighting setup of the bathroom a lot.

This is a great little place to spend a few days in Washington. It's clean and tidy and is in a brilliant location - close to Downtown and local restaurants. We had a great time there and did t even miss not having a TV.

You can expect a wonderfully comfortable and quiet place to stay at Gemma’s. It was minimalist, neat and tidy, and everything seemed new and fresh. She had laid out an assortment of snacks and drinks upon our arrival, which was an unbelievably kind touch and a welcome surprise. The location is perfect for walking/taking the Metro to all of the tourist stops, and there are lots of great places to eat within a short walk. If you can, stop by the 14th St Bistro Asian Cafe, the food there is delicious and very reasonably priced. We will definitely want to stay here again next time we come to DC!

Perfect location for my needs since I was in DC for a medical conference at the convention center. The back of the conference center is visible from the apartment, and it’s about a 3 min walk to the front door. The apartment was clean, spacious, with every amenity you can think of including an umbrella, Advil, tampons and a great welcome basket of snacks. No tv in the apartment, but that’s minor. Wi-Fi worked well. I would definitely recommend Gemma’s place.

Gemma has thought of everything! Her attention to detail made the stay that much more enjoyable. The kitchen had everything we needed to enjoy breakfast each morning. We could have eaten in for lunch and dinner too if we hadn’t been off exploring. I would gladly stay here again. It came in very handy to have a washer and dryer too! Easily a 10/10!

A very bright and beautiful space! So much better than a hotel! About 4 blocks from the subway, small grocery store, a few restaurants, movie theater and convenience stores. It is an uphill walk back, so a better location for kids and people in good health. One small tv, wifi, lots of towels, coffee pot, microwave, dorm size fridge, dishes and silverware. Nice, safe neighborhood, generous parking space. Very friendly and helpful hosts! Note: This rental does not have a kitchen, sink for washing dishes, or toaster. (This was fine for us, but notable if you want to prep meals or have toast for breakfast.) The location was an easy subway ride to Union Station, where you can then walk to a fair number of sights and restaurants. We would recommend staying here, and we would stay again.

Large, clean, private apartment. Fantastic location.

This Airbnb was great. I had to make an emergency trip down to DC because of an illness in the family and I'm so happy that they happened to have an opening for two nights at exactly that time. The space is beautiful, in a woodsy, quiet part of DC that is still within walking distance of the Metro and easy to find via car. Huge windows and it's hillside position mean there is a ton of light that comes into this place. I stayed there by myself, but a family could easily stay in this apartment and, what's more, the apartment is filled with games like ping pong, board games - I think there was even a foosball table. There was also an extensive library. My favorite part of the place was being able to wake up, walk out to the covered outdoor patio (which is right outside the apartment) and work overlooking the beautiful scenery - the wifi worked just as well right outside!

Giuseppe and Carla are the sweetest hosts. They were up to give us a hand whenever we needed. They have a lovely house located in a quiet area of DC. The beds were very good and, even if there was no kitchen, they had a fridge, microwave, kettle and coffee maker. At first, we had reservations about the distance to the city center and tourist spots but we finally found it was very easy to move around. Red Line metro station at 10 mins walking distance, with shops and restaurants around. The neighborhood is very safe and nice to walk. The kind of fresh- cut grass -smelling place. Also, Uber is not so expensive comparing to metro fares in Washington, and it is also a good option. So, if you’re traveling to DC don’t think it twice. This is the place to stay!!

What a special find! Less than ten minutes to the Metro, with restaurants nearby as well. This listing is spacious, quiet, well appointed, and very comfortable. I highly recommend it to future site-seers looking for a unit with free parking that is walk-able to the Metro.

I stayed here for a mini vacation (a couple of nights). This Airbnb would receive ten stars. Carla and Giuseppe were very kind and thoughtful. The Cleveland park metro is a short walk away. The parking is very convenient. The house and neighborhood are beautiful, and the rooms are quite spacious and stylish. In addition there is a nice ping pong table, foosball table and air hockey table. They also have maps so you can see where other visitors have been from, one of which came from Madagascar!

Very charming place - I loved all of the old details about the house. Quiet neighborhood with a lot of local spots. The walls of books was a wonderful detail - it was its own library ! And perfect because I was in town for a librarian conference !

In general the place would be quite ok. House is nice and location is ok (easily reachable with public transport). But our experience was bad because: 1) room was not cleaned when whe checked in (and we didn't come too early). Dirty blankets & towels were disappointing 2) Very poor host's communication. Host didn't react, when I texted him about dirty room (though finally, when we came back late in the night - it was cleaned). Only next morning he texted me "good morning". which sounded like a joke. 3) the room in general was so dusty and only the bed sheets looked clean. there's also no place to put your things (even wet towels!) - the only furniture is the bed. 4) House itself was very cold (kitchen, bathroom...), our library room - a bit better, but we still felt cold breeze coming through the windows all the night (and the bed is situated in between 3 windows...) it is a "budget" option for an accommodation, but yet I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
