  • Mieliśmy niesamowity miesiąc miodowy u Richarda i Emmy. Uwielbialiśmy mapę z lokalnymi wskazówkami dotyczącymi miejsc do jedzenia i aktywności.

    Pembrokeshire, Wales, Wielka Brytania

The cabin is located in stunning scenery, nestled midway between Carningli Mountain, Ty-Canol ancient oak woodland & the foothills of the Preselis & only 3 miles from the sea. With an outdoor hot tub, it's easy to kick back and relax.
Our fully insulated wooden cabin is just a couple of miles from Newport, Pembrokeshire. The cabin perches on the top of one of a series of 3 nearby mounds (the origin of which is still unclear, but you can see the other two from the garden) and over looks stunning scenery. The building is sunny, warm, light and airy, with a woodburning stove for when the weather is cooler. The water is heated by solar panels and a log boiler down in the main house. The hotub and garden has lovely views and you can sit back and enjoy incredible sunsets behind carningli mountain. Guests and friends often tell us that they have not slept and relaxed so well for a long time. Maybe it's because there are very few places left in Britain where you cannot hear the hum of a busy road or the sound of vehicles every few minutes. Here at the cosy Cabin, the small lanes are extremely quiet and you are completely surrounded by nature. All around you are hills, mountains, wooded valleys, streams and great mature oaks, ash and sycamore. Except for the neighbouring farm buildings, you could easily believe that you are tens of miles from civilisation; yet just over the side of Carningli (the rocky ancient volcano you can see from the garden) and only 3 miles away is the small bustling town of Newport. Newport is a tiny town that has an incredible variety of attractions including farmers market (on Mondays), award winning cafes, pubs and restaurants, local shops and art galleries and of course the sea with a beautiful sandy beach, cliff walks and sandunes. Before going into more detail I need to be clear on the location and type of property this is. The cabin has a compost loo which is a dry system that works without a flush, where the waste is converted into fertile soil for the apple trees. The loo does not smell bad in case you were wondering, but is not the same as a flush toilet. Access to the cabin involves some steep steps and a slightly uneven path with some leaves and loose small stones. It is not a modern set-up with a tarmac driveway with all the latest mod-cons (unless you're talking super comfortable beds, cooking, showering and hotub!) The best thing to do before booking is read through a number of reviews as well as much of the description as possible to get a feel for the place to make sure it's right for you. The cabin is open plan with a large curtain to separate the downstairs bedroom. There is a king size bed downstairs and a double mattress upstairs, and a travel cot if needed. We only make up the downstairs bed when there is one person or a couple staying, but if you'd prefer to sleep upstairs, just let us know before your stay. There is an electric shower and heated towel rail in the bathroom. The garden has chairs and there is a veranda for undercover outside dining. The outdoor electric hot tub is partly powered by the solar panels in the garden (as is the whole cabin), and it is hot and ready to use all the time. We will need access to the hot tub to check the levels, change filters etc if needed, but we always try to do this while guests are out. While we do provide a set of towels (one bath towel and one hand towel per guest), it might be an idea to bring an extra towel for the hot tub, and maybe a dressing gown. Some slip on shoes would also be useful for going between the cabin and the hot tub. As we are out in the sticks, mobile service is intermittent, but most networks can get signal somewhere, even if it means a trip to the garden or short walk into the field. There is no landline or internet in the cabin. We have been toying with the idea of getting the cabin connected, however, every single guest (even those that were expecting wifi) have told us at the end of their stay they were so happy not be distracted by their mobile phones, email etc. And that their experience was so much richer for it that we should definitely not introduce it... being cut off from social media addiction for even just a few days is incredibly relaxing and refreshing and is so rare these days. It is easy to forget how good for the mind the experience of spending quality time together, reading, playing games, talking and being able to completely relax is. So if you are worried about being off screen for a few days, don't be, as it really does make for a fantastic experience. Many of the pubs etc in newport do have free wifi if you do need to get online. If you would like to have a tv with DVD player please enquire and we should be able to provide without issue The cabin is self catering, and the kitchen is fully equipped, with a fridge, kettle, toaster and an induction cooker and Samsung oven which are super efficient and a pleasure to use. Some basics are provided, like salt, pepper, some herbs and spices and cooking oil. There will be complimentary tea and coffee (ground, for the caffetiere). There is no washing machine, but I would be happy to do a wash for you at a cost of £2 a load. We also have a dryer, which would be an extra £2, but there is also a drying line outside the cabin. Newport has a launderette too, opposite the Golden Lion pub. Bedding and bathroom towels are provided. If it's raining, there is a fantastic new local cafe in Newport called Pwnc that has an indoor climbing wall free for cafe customers and great for kids. there are also great indoor theme parks like Blue Lagoon etc. not too far away, and the hotub can be fun in the rain. There are a host of other fair weather types of activities close at hand too.
North Pembrokeshire is much quieter than the south and has a unique combination of rocky outcrops, stunning beaches and coastal path, wooded valleys and enclaves, friendly neighbours and a night sky with hardly any light pollution, resulting in a fantastic the view of the stars. The more well-known stunning beaches of Newport, Poppit and Whitesands are interspersed with little gems that are much quieter and actually often much more beautiful such as Cwm Yr Eglwys only a few miles away. The neighbourhood is a mix of traditional welsh farmers, smallholdings and people that have chosen a sustainable path and live off the land (this includes communities such as Lammas and Brithdir Mawr, as well as groups of families that share giant vegetable growing plots and a cow where each household takes a turn at milking!), stone farmhouses and cottages interspersed with hobbit style dwellings and homes made from natural materials. The Gwaun Valley that starts at our property is a sight in itself. Its vast densely wooded sides leads down to a welsh community that has culturally changed very little for centuries. They still celebrate their own new year, have a primary school still running strong with only 24 pupils in total and have a pub that is old as they come and only serve beer from jugs. There are plenty of beautiful sights and places of interest within walking distance along beautiful winding quiet backroads. The large organically farmed field next door with the large oak tree atop an ancient mound is ours and provides a stunning short walk or sports/activity ground (we have football nets to borrow), depending on the livestock! Ty canol woods (less than 1 mile away) is home to an ancient stunted oak woodland, rocky outcrops and carpeted in mosses and lichens, it is like walking into a fairytale book. The woods lead on to the larger rocky outcrops of Carnau meibion Owen which looks out to the preseli hills and also the ancient burial chamber of Pentre Ifan. The heather strewn slopes of Carningli mountain (less than 1 mile away) are well worth a climb, the views from on top are spectacular. Newport has a stunning large sandy beach with dunes and is great for swimming. The town of Newport has become famous for its array of great cafes, restaurants and shops including a wholefood shop, butchers, hardware store, fishmongers (specialising in locally caught fish), pharmacy, newsagents, craft collective, antique centre, Spar and a local produce market on a Monday morning. Our closest neighbours (300 yards ish), Simon and Kerry at Tyriet farm have opened a micro brewery (Bluestone brewing co.), and you can drop in and pick up a bottle or three of their finest ales.
  • Naprawdę relaksujący i przytulny domek w pięknej okolicy. :-)

  • Maya i Robin byli świetnymi gospodarzami.

Wysoce zalecane!

  • Piękna kabina. Maya była wspaniałym gospodarzem! Przykro nam było wyjeżdżać!

    Kate2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Mieliśmy najbardziej idealny pobyt w Robin and Maya's na naszą rocznicę ślubu.

    Aimee2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Oszałamiająca kabina w zacisznym miejscu, otoczonym dużą ilością zieleni. Domek był wspaniały - pięknie urządzony, czysty i przytulny z ładnymi widokami (szczególnie wcześnie rano). Kuchnia była dobrze wyposażona, by robić świetne posiłki.

Kuchnia dobrze wyposażona i wszystko nieskazitelnie czyste. Wysoce zalecane.

Rogeston is situated in a secluded rural location on a quiet country lane just three miles from the sea and the National Park yet only five miles from the supermarkets and amenities of Haverfordwest. Druidstone, Nolton , Broadhaven and Newgale are our nearest beaches. Being more or less mid way along the Pembrokeshire coast, Rogeston is ideally located for exploring all of the county with its beautiful beaches and attractions for all ages including highlights such as the picturesque seaside town of Tenby and the tiny city of St Davids with its stunning cathedral. There are numerous options for walkers including the spectacular coastal path which runs the length of the Pembrokeshire coast. Woodlands , mountains and estuary rivers provide alternative scenery for walking or cycling. In the spring and summer months a wildlife spotting boat trip to one of the islands is a must. For eating and drinking we are lucky to have the famously quirky Druidstone Hotel with its relaxed and welcoming bar and restaurant ( look out for the regular 'Feast' nights ) only an 8 minute drive or a 45 minute walk from the cottage. The sea view from the garden and restaurant is glorious - the perfect place to watch the sun go down or for a winter lunch. Despite the region's attractions traffic jams are few and far between. Beaches are never overcrowded even in the summer months making Pembrokeshire an ideal destination for a seaside holiday without the crowds. Information leaflets and recommendations are available in the cottage.

Buzzard is a cosy cottage for two. It comprises of a kitchen area with fridge, oven, hob, granite work tops and a Belfast sink. Then into dining lounge area with TV and wood burner. Round the corner is a shower room with basin and WC. Upstairs is a cosy double bedroom with sloping ceilings and beams. Your dog is welcome as long as they stay off the soft furnishings and you clean up after them outside,we charge £3 per night per dog. The pub is about 25 minutes away on foot.
As the crow flies we are a mile away from the sea, there are lots of lovely beaches close by many where dogs are welcome.
As previously mentioned the pubs are down in Little Haven it is possible to walk down but you are partly on the road and coastal path. A torch would be useful at night to warn people you are there. There are 3 pubs, The Castle a gastro pub where you can take your dog. The St Brides is a more traditional pub offering a good and varied menu but not allowing dogs. The Swan is our favourite, beams and wood burners welcome you and Sunday lunch is always wonderful. Dogs are only allowed in the bar. There is also a holiday camp you pass on the way to the Cottages which is open to non residents for food and drinks.

Traditional Welsh Cottage! DOG FRIENDLY! With WIFI! Old Court Cottage is a luxury and cosy dog friendly holiday cottage situated in the quiet and pretty village of Little Newcastle with its traditional pub just a short walk away. The cottage is ideal as for a romantic break or a family holiday. We have kept the charm and character of the cottage which was built around two hundred years ago but added modern touches.
The cottage is centrally heated by the log burning stove but there are also plenty of electric heaters in case you don't feel like lighting the stove. There is a modern fitted kitchen with integrated fridge with freezer compartment, integrated washer/dryer, dishwasher, nespresso coffee machine. In the lounge there is a wood burner, leather reclining three piece suite, 42 inch smart TV, PS3, a couple of books and games to play. The bathroom has a full sized bath, electric shower and heated towel rail. The main bedroom is complete with king size bed, chest of drawers and built in cupboard. There is space for a cot / single air bed. The second bedroom has sturdy full sized bunk beds with adult mattresses and a chest of drawers. There is a secure dog friendly garden which can only be accessed from the back door of the cottage. In the next village of Letterston (5 minute drive) there is an award winning restaurant and take away, pub, post office, butchers, bakery and spar petrol station.
We are situated in a central location close to many local attractions but in a small quiet village.

Pembrokeshire is a popular tourist attraction and has much to satisfy a diverse range of tastes. There is far too much to list everything to do in the local area but loads of information can be found at the Pembrokeshire Tourist Information Centres. Below are a few of our favourite things. The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. One of the most spectacular coastal walks in the country and one of the most dramatic sections is all but a 30 minute walk from the cottage. Wild flower and Bird Watching. With it’s national park and conservation areas, coastlines, offshore islands (teeming with puffins, razorbills, shearwaters, storm petrels and chough) and the Pembrokeshire hedges the area is a popular destination for nature lovers. Foxgloves, pink campion, snowdrops, woodland carpets of bluebells, gorses and heathers is but to name a few of the many flowers. These are also the hunting grounds for the buzzards and peregrine falcons that inhabit the area. Seal Watching. September and October are the best months to see the pups, a nice early evening walk from the cottage to one of the best seal watching beaches in the UK stopping to watch the sunset into the sea on the way back from Garn Fawr. You may even see some dolphins, porpoises, whales or basking sharks. Beaches. Walk, cycle or drive to the beautiful pebble beaches of Aber Bach and Aber Mawr, take a BBQ, go for a swim, walk in the bluebell woods or fish for mackerel. Sandy beaches can be easily found a little further away, the beautiful beaches of Whitesands and Newgale are good for bathing, sand castles and surfing. Cycling. Explore the surrounding lanes, beaches and villages by following the national cycle routes or for off road fun visit the nearby Preseli Hills or Llys-y-Frân reservoir . Island Wildlife Visits. Take a boat trip to one of the many islands that surround the Pembrokeshire coast. Ramsey and Skomer Islands are great destinations to see an abundance of wildlife. Eating and Drinking Out. The surrounding area has a high number of very good restaurants and there are many cafes and old world pubs to enjoy. Castles. Pembrokeshire has much more than its fair share of castles. See where the Tudor dynasty was born in Pembroke, amble amongst the ruins of Carew castle and Manorbrier. Visit the unusual 13th century castle at Picton or see Cardigan Castle as featured on the BBC’s Restoration programme. Crafts and Galleries. Pembrokeshire has long been a haven for artists. The large number of quality galleries and craft centres testifies this. Visit some of the galleries and sculpture gardens, spend a day learning how to throw pots or bring your paints or camera and find out why so many artists have drifted to this part of the world.

Brithdir Mawr is an Eco-Community formed in 1994, currently 13 adults and 5 children. We live on an 80 acre restored farm nestled at the foot of Carn Ingli in Pembrokeshire National Park. The Community is off grid for electricity and uses the water from the mountain spring. We have outdoor composting toilets and bathrooms with showers that guests share with the rest of the Community. We have a four private rooms available, plus a dormitory space. This posting is for our Dorm Room.
If you are interested in community living or self-sufficiency this is the place for you. We have been a community for over twenty years you can learn more about us by joining one of our tours or even volunteering here. Have a look on our website for more details. We also run training courses and events which could help to make your trip a really memorable experience. The Dorm room is on the top floor of our main Community farmhouse. The accommodation is very basic; a mattress either on the floor or a basic wooden frame, with no sink, cooking facilities or space heating; and you may find yourself sharing with up to 4 others. Two sky lights provide excellent light during the day or a fantastic view of the starry sky at night, and there are electric lights for other times. More sturdy and weather proof than a tent, but still at campsite prices! This listing is for 1 single mattress, however the room sleeps up to 5. If you want to book the Dorm for more than 1 person, you'll also need to book on our other Dorm room listings. We absolutely love it here and hope you will too. We look forward to sharing it with you!
We live in a beautiful area of Pembrokeshire National Park, next to Carn Ingli and the Preseli Mountains. Ty Cannol, an ancient oak woodland, and the stunning coastline are both within walking distance, as is the charming village of Newport, boasting a fine array of pubs, cafes and restaurants. The Pembrokeshire Coastal path was recently voted one of the top ten long distance walks in the world. There is minimal light pollution here, so the night skies can be breath taking, and there is always loads of wildlife to see and hear, including dormice, bats and owls.

The bed linen and towels are fair trade and organic. The price also includes logs for the wood burning stove and use of the electric car charger. We have used as many natural products in the renovation and decoration of Harmony Barn as we could, natural wood, slate tiles, lime plasters, clay paints all add to the special feel of Harmony Cottage.
Stones Cottages comprises of three holiday cottages and a house all surrounded by fields and 16 acres of wild flower meadows maintained using organic principles. Situated on a small holding we have four Shetland sheep and chickens. It is quiet place with good views, brilliant sunsets and star filled night time skies. Close to the coastal path it is an ideal place for walkers and cyclists. Stones Cottages is a 10 minute drive from the market town of Fishguard and the beautiful Aber Mawr and Aber Bach beaches. We have converted all the cottages to the highest environmental standards, a bore hole provides the water, air source heat pumps power the underfloor heating, solar thermal panels heat the water and solar PV help provide the electricity. We have used as many natural materials in the conversion, certified sustainable wood for the hand made kitchens, lime plasters and clay paints. We also provide all the bed linen and towels which are made from organic cotton. We even have a point for charging electric cars. The downstairs bedroom of the holiday cottage has two large comfortable single beds with an en suite wet room and views from the large arched coach house window of the courtyard garden. We allow up to two dogs in the cottage as long as they are well behaved, they have their own beds and bowls, they do not go upstairs and they stay off the furniture. We ask that you do not leave them on their own in the cottages. There are a number of fields around Llandruidion where they can be walked. Please check with us which fields when you get here. All the electricity, logs for the wood burner and bed linen and towels are included in the price.

Penmeiddyn is a five bedroom farmhouse retreat centre set in three and a half acres of private and secluded gardens and woodland. What makes Penmeiddyn so unique is its subtle blend of quiet rustic charm tucked within a gentle roaming valley. A secluded and quiet idyll carved beneath ancient burial chambers and rocky tors, only two miles from the pebbled and sandy beaches and rugged coastline near to Fishguard.
The space you will be using is a small self-contained part of the five bedroom farmhouse retreat centre. You will have your own private entrance, bedsitting room, kitchen and bathroom. There will be outside seating and dining areas for guests.
Permeiddyn nestles alongside the North Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, a natural conservation area, providing a powerful catalyst for ones' creative impulses. Traditionally Penmeiddyn was a small dairy farm set amongst a landscape of craggy moorland, standing stones and dolmen, an area that has long been a magnet for healing and mystical pilgrimages.
