Go on a long walk or bike ride, then return to the cottage to cook, play board games, listen the record collection or visit Viroqua (25 minutes) for a farm-to-table 5-star dinner, or check out local music. Build a warm fire outdoors/ warm up by the gas stove indoors, or go down to the stream for a sauna by the cool water creek.

Welcome to our beautiful Victorian home located in the quaint town of McGregor, Iowa. Our 2,800 sq. ft. home was built during McGregor's early years as a Mississippi River boom town. Attractions include antiquing, biking, fishing, hunting, hiking and boating! We're a short drive from Pike's Peak, Effigy Mounds and Prairie du Chien. Bring your UTV and ride the trails for $30 per driver and $10 per passenger or rent a UTV for $300. Close to trout fishing stream or Mississippi for fishing. Approx 15 miles from Prairie Du Chein, close to canoeing for the Kickapoo, Wisconsin river. Has a gas & charcoal grill, pool table, firepit, Smart TV. Deposit yourself! Bank built in 1917, just 10 minutes on blacktop from Toppling Goliath Brewery. Located in Frankville Iowa and just a few miles up the hill from the Yellow River. Queen bed in one bedroom, and a futon in the main space. Full kitchen stocked with pancake mix and sausages. City Park is four blocks away or Nintendo 64, electric guitar and keyboard, or board games for rainy days. Also feel free to play whatever music you find, just return it. Large backyard and hammock.

The log cabin was built as a place to unwind, relax, and truly unplug. Nestled among 15 acres of rolling hills, the cabin can serve as a place to hunker down and read three novels, or a home base for hiking, cycling and putting the nature back in your life. Be advised, there is NO television and that’s for good reason. Cook, drink, eat, play, relax and refresh yourself. Wake up to the songs of birds and listen to the owls at night while you’re warming yourself around a bonfire.
