The Magical Cabin on Back Creek

Magic is the word most people use when they visit this hidden gem. Built in 1939 as a fishing cabin by a gentleman who incorporated box cars as rafters and beams, dates still visible since removing the attic. By far the best place I've ever lived. I decided to share it with others who love to explore, who love listening to the voice of the creek or who come just to sit on the porch high above the creek with a spouse, friend, family, or alone. For the best sleep, open the bedroom window!

New River Trail Cottage

Built in 1880 by Dr. A.C. Shepherd, this historic cottage has served as a doctor’s office, a general store, and a boarding house. The cottage is located at marker p12 on the New River Trail. From the wrap around porch, you can listen to the rapids cascading into Claytor Lake. A boat launch is conveniently located less than 1/2 mile away offering free river access. (Please note that the river is not directly accessible from the property). It is the perfect location to play, relax, or both!

Constructed from two old tobacco barns (with fireplace), this property provides a unique experience-connecting the past & present. The cabin is surrounded by nature’s beauty and Big Reed Island river flows only feet from the front porch. Set on 32 acres, the cabin has a large porch with rocking chairs perfect to enjoy views of the river & mountains. New addition includes an outdoor shower! Directly across from Allisonia boat ramp and immediately adjacent to our other listing (Cozy Waterfront Cabin). Shared use of boat ramp located on the next lot. Large flat yard is perfect for outdoor activities beside the water. Nearby access to New River Trail. Well behaved dogs are allowed with prior approval. You must keep dog leashed during visit. Four Fillies Lodge is an 84 acre private estate available for you to explore & enjoy. The View Modern Glass Cabin is a top of the line romantic cabin with modern amenities and huge windows for optimal views of the creek. Includes 1 King bed, 1 full bathroom, and a kitchenette. This is the perfect place to enjoy relaxation or adventurous activities such as fishing, hiking, caving, white water rafting, and so much more! Cabin on the Creek

This 1 room cabin with kitchenette (2 top burner, small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker) with full bath is set on Toms Creek, fifteen minutes drive from Virginia Tech and the town of Blacksburg. The space itself is private, rustic and charming even though we live just next door. We thank you for no pets, vaping or smoking inside the cabin and we are happy to share that our onsite managers, Ray and Mara, will be handling all inquiries on our behalf.

Our house is really special & unique. We want you to come enjoy the space! HUGE Private one room off the back of the house. We share a wall and you will hear us. Room comes with living room area, tv, king size bed, large private master bath, ability to set temperature (within range). Kitchenette amenities available, coffee maker, microwave, fridge, toaster oven and George Foreman. If something you need isn't on the list let us know!

Modern Cabin w/ Hot Tub - Romantic Retreat

The Cabin is a luxurious rural escape, with a 3-person hot tub. Located on a permaculture homestead and native plant sanctuary, the space overlooks the garden and is surrounded by forest. Natural/local materials were used throughout (built in 2023). For larger groups, check out the guest house next door (Airbnb: Guest House on Homestead near Floyd/Blacksburg). ~10 miles to Floyd, ~20 miles to Blacksburg, ~35 miles to Roanoke.
