The Tarka Suite

We live in a quiet location situated on the outskirts of Barnstaple, tucked away in a quiet residential area. Nearest amenities are approx 15 min walk. “The Tarka suite”is made up of 3 seperate rooms plus a covered garden room with electric points. There is a king sized bed, 2 seater sofa, a small dining area and small well equipped kitchen area which includes a std fridge, a ninja twin drawer acti fry and single hob. Crockery, pans and cutlery are provided. Use of hot tub at extra cost.

A peaceful rural retreat near North Devon beaches

This 200 year old barn has been lovingly renovated to create a modern, open plan apartment that provides spacious accommodation for two. Its whitewashed stone walls and bare timbers retain the charm of the original building and two full length windows open onto a private patio and garden and flood the apartment with sunlight. Furnished with a mixture of the modern and the vintage, the walls are hung with original artworks and these elements combine to create a unique and beautiful retreat.

You will be staying in a beautiful green oak outbuilding with 4 dormer windows and a glass gable end offering delightful Devon countryside views. Access is via a private door into the front of the building. From the upstairs living area, a door leads to your own private garden. There is a decking area with a table and chairs for outside dining and a barbecue in season. There is a wooden gazebo at the top of the garden also with a table and seating for outside dining with more lovely views.

Our guest house is situated atop a hill with panoramic views of the surrounding scenery and historic Tarka Trail. Fully self-contained building, patio and parking area. Only 10 minute's drive from Barnstaple and 20 from Ilfracombe, with beaches at Saunton, Croyde and Putsborough, too. The apartment is a mile from the Tarka Trail (the most popular cycle route in the country). It is set in lovely grounds with a private balcony and a comfortable living area (sofa, armchairs and a large TV). The kitchen and dining area has an oven, hob, fridge and dishwasher.
