Welcome to The Kirk! A 1926 original Old West Side apartment building located just blocks from beautiful Lake Sacajawea, situated on a wonderfully tree lined street. There is a courtyard and garden space, complete with a compost. We use toxic free cleaning agents. You will find the neighborhood to be quiet and charming! Inside you will see it is well equipped and even has a dōTERRA diffuser with your own set of essential oils to use during your stay! If you need anything, we live a block away!

The Carpenter's Cottage

The carpenter's cottage is decorated in vintage woodworking and logging tools that have been used for several generations in our family. Rainier has a rich history of logging, lumber and woodworking. Some tools have been found nearby. Enjoy a peaceful country setting with deer, birds, occasional bobcat, squirrels, raccoons, occasional elk, but is a short walk to town. Watch deer munch on apples and relax in the shade as you walk around our 14 acres or enjoy them from your windows.

Batwater Station Tiny Cabin on the Columbia River

Experience an otters view of the Columbia river at the cabin which is remote from the other buildings. It includes heat, good internet, several streaming TV channels and trundle bed that makes into king size bed with cabinets and cold water sink. Your retreat includes gazebo with propane barbecue, fire pit and outhouse. Bedding, cookware, dishes, oil, coffee, tea, coffee pot, etc. are provided as well. Access to pier house includes heated shower and bathroom along with full kitchen.

Located on lovely Lake Sacajawea with its tree-filled park. Walk or bike the perimeter (3+ miles) or part of the lake. House is a short distance from the hospital on the opposite side of the lake. Many of our guests are "travelers," medical professionals working on short-term contracts.

Longview is a hidden gem in Washington. Here you will find history, wonderful parks, trails, restaurants and so much more. Our house is centrally located in Longview. Sacagawea Park is a block away with a 3.45 mile trail filled with beautiful landscape, playgrounds and so much more. Along the way you will see some of our historic sites including our famous squirrel bridges. Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located place.
