Two TVs and a movie collection make for simple, nostalgic nights in. Outside is where this place really shines. Grill lunch and dinner lakeside, eat under the covered picnic area, sip coffee on the balcony overlooking the water, and launch one of the two pontoon kayaks straight from your private dock. The spacious yard gives kids room to roam while the grown-ups relax nearby. The lake is drawn down each winter and gradually refills in the spring, typically reaching full levels by Memorial Day and remaining full through the summer before being lowered again around October. Our home is in Woods Bay, a small community near Flathead Lake. The suite where our guests stay is the back portion of our house with its own entrance. It consists of a porch, a bedroom, a private bathroom, a sitting room and a Pavillon outdoors with a grill and space for cooking. The sitting room includes a desk, a tele and comfy love seat as well as Keurig coffee maker, microwave, and a small refrigerator. It is just a short walk to the community beach, or several pubs, even a small market.
