Covered Bridge Cottage

Located on a farm in the heart of Amish country and amid one of the largest concentrations of antiques in America, we are central to many attractions, yet quaint and secluded enough to provide a relaxing retreat. The Covered Bridge Cottage started out in the 1800’s as a mill office and over the years was converted into a home through several additions. The house has been in our family for close to a century and it was our honor to restore it to a comfortable, energy efficient, durable home.

This one floor living layout, is ideal for anyone traveling through for an over night stay or need a quaint, quiet space for several months. The fire pit, open backyard, and large family room, with electric fireplace, make it very comfortable for a stay-in relaxing evening. We are located less than 12 miles from popular destinations such as Sight & Sound, Dutch Wonderland, Fulton Opera House, Downtown Lancaster, Tanger Outlets, Spooky Nook, the town of Lititz, the town of Intercourse, etc.

We are located right in the center of all the things you come to Lancaster County to see. Close to it all yet back in the woods for some peace and quiet when you’re done for the day.

Local traffic does get a bit noisy, but this does not take away from your privacy or enjoying nature Come & Enjoy!

You have full access to tranquil lower level of home. Private access and parking. minutes to route 272, 222 and 322. Private cul-de-sac in quiet town of Akron. Walk or ride your bike 1 block and your on the beautiful scenic RAIL-TRAIL with easy access to Ephrata, Akron and Lititz! FYI -If you are bringing your pet, the fee is $5 per night for extra cleaning .We love longer stays and offer a 5% discount for 7 days and 10% for 30 days! Come relax and enjoy the view!

Reserve this cute cottage as home-base for your tour of Lancaster County. Prepare meals in the modern kitchen while your children enjoy the backyard and swings. Take in the farmland view while you sit by the firepit. This country home has easy access to Route 222 and the PA Turnpike making it a quick drive to many attractions. This is the prior home of a family on a Bible Translation project in Mexico. Enjoy their cozy home while supporting their mission!
