Walk a wee bit further to Exploding Whale Park and enjoy sitting on the river’s beach for a picnic or take a short drive to Heceta Beach for the day.

High tide you can watch the seals frolicking in the cove. At low tide you can see the seals sunbathing on the sand bar just past the cove (this is how Seal Cove derived its name).
