World class skiing, hiking, fishing, mountain climbing, SUP in area Float down or fish in Bow River (5 min from house) 5 min to Ghost Lake Provincial Park - fishing and sailing 15 min drive to C-train (LRT) (Crowfoot Station) that will take you downtown Calgary. 30 min to Kananaskis & Stoney Nakoda Resort & Casino (which is base to set off for many day trips including white water rafting). 45 min drive to Canmore / Banff area. 35 min from YYC airport. Perfectly in between the many exciting things to do in the city of Calgary and amazing outdoors of Kananaskis and Canmore / Banff. Beautiful rustic off-grid straw bale cabin surrounded by unspoiled nature and working ranch lands, located between Calgary and Canmore. Running water May-Oct, wood stove and old-fashioned outhouse. Cozy and simple with all the comforts you need. We lived in this little cabin with two toddlers for over a year while we built our house and it has everything you need to be comfortable. It is magical in the winter. Fun fact: A full length feature film was recently filmed here!
