Welcome to our cosy home by the sea. Saltbox is situated in the old town of Scarborough, with views of the coast and harbour and a stone’s throw away from the town centre, beaches and the Open Air Theatre. Scarborough is a vibrant and lively seaside town on the spectacular North Yorkshire coast, rich in history and character. Plenty to enjoy come rain or shine; scenic walks, working harbour, sandy beaches, a castle, independent restaurants, great pubs and of course, the best fish ‘n’ chips.

The Yellowhammer hut

Our Yellowhammer hut is named after the yellowhammer bird and last summer we had around 30 to 40 of them on the farm and they kept coming to see us when we were working so we had to name our new hut after them. It’s set right at the end near the apple and plum trees that belonged to the old orchard in what use to be the farmhouse kitchen garden. It’s a beautiful setting both quiet and peaceful (except sometimes for the sound of lambs and cattle sometimes) enjoy our meadow as much as we do.

This property which resembles a lighthouse with its original spiral staircase, vaulted ceilings and other original features is charming, compact and cosy. The property has recently been refurbished to offer a unique holiday experience.
