Sitting pretty in a wild flower meadow surrounded by open fields, this barn conversion is countryside simplicity at its best: updated appliances and rustic furniture arranged for open-plan living to relax unwind and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. The barn is located in the meadow behind our thatched cottage. The space is entirely your own and is self catered with a well equipped open plan kitchen. We're on hand should you need any advice or assistance during your stay, though you'll have your own privacy and can interact as much or as little as you'd like. Enjoy pastoral tranquility here whilst being within an easy 10-minute reach of the medieval charm of Lavenham. Public footpaths are close by or venture further afield to admire the beautiful Cathedral in Bury St Edmunds. Once you arrive in the barn, there is a small collection of books about the surrounding area and county. We can of course recommend places to visit.

Grade ll listed Victorian Cottage set in the heart of the Medieval Village of Lavenham in Suffolk. Lavenham is the perfect place to visit and enjoy an all year round selection of festivals and events. There are many award winning galleries and boutique shops to browse with plenty to explore in the surrounding area. To the rear is a terrace - a sheltered spot for breakfast al-fresco. It has a lockable rear entrance for secure cycle and pushchair storage. Car park 100m away.

Close to Bury St Edmunds and Diss, an ideal semi-rural base for exploring East Anglia and the cities of Norwich and Cambridge. Our comfortable and quiet cottage annexe provides a well-equipped place to stay for a self-catering short break or longer, with wi-fi included. The comfortable sitting room looks out onto the private garden where there is a small patio containing outdoor chairs and table. The ensuite bedroom (double-bed) has a vaulted ceiling and ample storage.

The house was tastefully decorated in July 2023 and comprises of a full kitchen, king bedroom with shower ensuite and a double bedroom with shower/bathroom to suit up to four guests. Located a 30 min stroll to the Abbey Gardens, St Edmundsbury Cathedral and the many restaurants/cafes of Bury St Edmunds. The house is also only a 30 min walk to the West Suffolk Hospital, so is an ideal base whether it be to explore Bury or to visit patients or work at the hospital.
