Slipper Rock Cabin

Called “Slipper Rock” in memory of Bessie Lakes, an elderly lady that lived on farm many years ago. She could be heard laughing while playing in the stream that runs by the cabin. She called the stream “Slipper Rock”. The newly built cabin sits on 15 acres. Numerous hiking trails & horseback riding trails. Some trails in Daniel Boone National Forest. Bring your own horses. Relax sitting on porch, by fire pit or on rocks by stream. Nothing prettier than the night sky. Hope to see you all soon.

The Cabin on Panther Branch

Drive down Kentucky scenic highway 89 South just 9 miles south of McKee. The cabin is newly built and set back in a secluded area with a small creek running right beside the cabin and a larger creek just across the road. The Cabin on Panther Branch is a perfect place to come fish and kayak on the creek. Bring your ATV’s, side by side or dirt bikes and enjoy miles and miles of riding in S-Tree Tower in the Daniel Boone National Forest. We don’t think you will be disappointed with your stay.

Older home with lots of character located within walking distance of downtown Richmond. If you like the outdoors there is a porch with a swing, and a sitting area in the back yard with a fish pond. Located approx. 2 miles off of I-75. The driveway goes behind the house for parking, and is quite narrow. There is plenty of room in the driveway to park out front (which is also safe), if you are unable to squeeze through. The driveway side of the yard is open, so the backyard is not fully fenced.

Built in 1894, by the Lakes family, it has a romantic, rustic and nostalgic feel. If you are a history buff, interested in Appalachian culture, or just want a charming, outdoorsy and secluded getaway, this cabin is for you. We're 25 min. away from Natural Bridge, Sky Bridge, Red River Gorge, hiking, underground kayaking and more. We're less than an hour from Lexington. We ask that you refrain from smoking inside during your stay.
